  1. If I am correct the pin is screwed down with a screw on the one side , that would mean that the lever must be loose on the pin. That is how the walbro wb37 carb works
  2. I could not get into my harness on my first 2 flights paragliding and paramotoring .My instructors on both times told me to loosen my shoulder straps to maximum and that worked. My older harness was always difficult to get into, or out off for landing. I do find that a larger free flying harness is easier to get into than my tight fit one. If I must be honest when I upgraded to the latest harness on my zenith I never even set it up , yust took it for a flight. I have taken off with legstraps / shoulder straps loose , tight or in between and it allways yust scoop me up into the seat , sometimes to easily , I have to force myself hanging on take offs
  3. I always dreaming of flying , yust stretching my arms and jump of the second floor walkway at school. This went away when I start flying.I remembered seeing a picture of a handglider in my science book in school. Growing up it seemed that flying was only for the rich and I would never be able to afford it. Saw an advert and clicked it for more information brought me to paragliding.
  4. I use a'' Fly Henry ''' fuel / temp / rpm guage witch have a low fuel /warning indicator(led) build in. I always use my fuel to calculate my time flying. The fuel guage and warning led is only used to confirm what I know, I never relied on it ; every time I knew when the warning light will come on .
  5. I am stuck in Norwich , no trains at the moment going anywhere .........
  6. until

Oh no !! ! I could have had the opportunity (reason) to buy a snow plough.
  7. Hi , we had the charge rectifier/ contoller shorted out before whitch can cause the same problem. Disconnec your charge regulator and try it with out .
  8. Thanks for an awesome weekend !!!!!!!. Love your video at 3:36 where you can hear my motor starting. Casey
  9. Hi I spoke to the kite flyers club in Richmond Park a few years back and was advised that you are not allowed to use a paraglider in any "Royal Park".
  10. Simon , If you buy the tape let me know, I am in , want to cover my two props !!!!!
  11. Hi Greg I know in South Africa you need to do 35 flights and a minimum of 4 hours flying time every year to renew your licence .
  12. Hi Andy Have a look at this youtube video I am thinking of getting myself an paracell kit to fit to my existing chassis , keep us updated I am quite interested in it . Casey
  13. I have a thor 200 in a zenith frame and with 10l fuel the weight does not feel heavy at all , it has to do with the way the engine and chassis fit on your back (engine is quite high up on the chassis ). Fuel consumption was around 2l per hour. When I fit my lighter jpx on the same chassis , without any fuel, it feels a lot heavier . The engine sits a lot lower on on the chassis. (On the original bailey chassis it felt like there was no weight at all.) The whole engine chassis design makes a big difference .
  14. It took me a long time to get it right . Still going through times where my landings are perfect ,"" then forget to take a wrap on my brake lines"" , then get them wrong :: #**#*# fustrating even after 200 flights !!
  15. Made up my mind , I am changing my holiday plans ,I can not miss it !!!!!!!!!!! Casey
  16. Hi Erwin123 I had the exact same problem, even when I was freeflying. I use to see the ground comming towards me very fast witch caused me to slow down my wing on the brakes to make it slower. This caused me a lot of trouble and I now understand why I had a bad collapse on landing: 1)It slowed my wing down but when I wanted to flare I had no energy left to do it with. I now find a spot about 100m in front of me and do not look at the ground the last 50 feet. I try to fly as low as I can ,allmost trying to skim the ground with my bottom and keep my brakes off until I have to do my flare Keeping as much speed as I can give me a lot more energy to do a flare. Comming in with a lot of speed has helped me when I "got dumped" a few times on landing
  17. Oh no !!!!!! Will have to miss this one, going PG in the Alps
  18. Hi I bought a genuine bosch 18v 4ah drill battery and took it apart (they have a 6Ah battery now).I trust these batteries as I have never heard of one catching fire. For my thor200 I plan to do the same, but yust cut them down to 12v . They use 18560 cells in parallel . l flattened them out ,soldered heavy cables onto it , added balance charging cables as well as plugs to make install and removal easy. The whole setup got put inside heat shrink for a solid unit . I kept the charge indicator witch is very useful and use an I-max charger. They fit inside my zenith chassis plate and are tied down with cable ties. I will post some photos when I am home again.
  19. Hi Yes , I connect directly and are using lipo's and running my temp sensors direct from the battery as well. The ' power ' wires from the magneto is taped up I charge them of the mains (on my jpx I get around 50 starts before charging)
  20. That is good news to pin down what caused the problem ,then the fix is easy. I Don' t even have a regulator fitted on my thor200 ( electric start), I could not remember where all the wires go , yust left it off. I would suggest to start it and run it (test it without a regulator ) If you still have problems or smoke from it then you could have burned /shorted turns on your power coils caused by the regulator shorting them out. Casey
  21. We had its problem when people started using 4 wheel motorbikes for crop spraying. These were air cooled engines, they were driving slow with not enough cooling , they were running so hot that the insulation on the coil wiring fail. The magnets on the flywheels never failed as far as I know. It could be a combination of vibration and hot temperatures causing the coils to fail.
  22. Hi Looking at your magneto drawing and resistance you got this is what I know, I use to rewind these long ago . .. Between 1 and 2 this is your power coil wired with a 0.8mm wire. The resistance you got sound right. Between 2 and 4 it's is your magneto/cdi coil , wired with 0.12 to 0.28mm wire (around 2000 turns) The resistance can be from 30 to 120 ohm(or higher) Point 2 would be commen on both coils with a cable going to your coil/cdi. The best way would be to have a look at the stator coils and see if there is any burned coils. Testing with a meter generally will only give you an idea that you have a broken wire ,even if the coils are burned and shorted between turns the meter will not tell you. We normaly would strip them and yust wound them. Did you check if your charge regulator is working , that could burn your power coil out , and would course your cdi coil to give your coil wrong information/ power as that also calculate your timing. I have not been able to find the factory values Hope this help. Casey
  23. Hi PatPux I had the exact same problem as you. My fix came in adding one extra" sequence" in my take off and landing sequence :"" I loosen the two straps that hold the front seat flap completely off ."" That solved all my problems. I Even had to do that in my zenith until I updated to the latest harness. Hope this help Casey
