  1. I'm selling my much loved Ozone Speedster 30, it's in great condition, always dried before concertina packing and stored in a dry garage. It's in the Blue and White colour scheme and looks and fly's lovely. I'm only selling as I managed to lose a couple of pounds am a little light on it now. Comes with all the Ozone bumf and stuff you get when bought new. I looking to get about £1800 for it PM for any more details Thanks for looking Badger
  2. I sometimes manage to get down that way, I'd really appreciate having a float about with a local, I'll call next time I'm lucky enough to get a break from work and the weather plays ball Badger
  3. I have an iPhone on a leg strap, does that count as an ILS assisted cockpit?
  4. Thanks all for having a look, I have just been trying to get the video enabled for mobile use and without signing my life away to some copyright laws it seems that it's PC or mac only! Can't see why it's not subject to copyright in a computer and in on a mobile device Badger
  5. Morning Simon Just paid but there was no section for adding optional notes? Badger - Adam Gould
  6. Bloody hell I've made this comp list too, all this internet fame will be hard to handle Badger
  7. Bloody Hell, I've made it onto the list of pilots - I'm Famous !!!! Hope the weather improves Badger
  8. Hi Simon I'd love to enter, sounds like a great day out Badger
  9. It has an engine on and off and a sprung electric start / smoke system / whatever button, cleverly designed so that you can turn the motor on and off with your thumb but not start it accidentally with the same hand, it also has a nifty cruise control. I just bought mine but haven't fitted it yet as I want to ground handle the wing with it on to make sure it's not going to get snagged at all, can't see how it will but want to make sure before I fit it. Strapping it to my hand and playing with it though and I'm really impressed. Badger
  10. Hi speedmouse I fly a speedster 30, love it!!! Easy to launch, great to fling about, very light on the tip steering, nice pressure on the breaks . Great flare authority on landing, I find it lively enough to let you know what's going on without being to twitchy even on thermic days. I fly with a fair few other pilots and don't seem to leave them behind or be left trailing in their fumes, all very similar speed wise, maybe have the edge on some but that could be just me being bias. I fly with a parajet zenith moster and don't have any trouble getting airborne vary rarely using full throttle, I use about 5 -6 Lph flying normally, if I flew straight and conservatively I'm pretty sure that could be easily improved. I'm about 100kg starkers, fully clothed and carrying a full tank and dressed for winter I would think I'm getting near 150 kg on take off Hope the above waffle helps
  11. I'm reasonable sure the South Wales Paragliding club did something similar and bought a Mountain - as you do!!

    Cameleon

All the reports above are great and I've been really tempted to buy one for a long time but without actually getting to feel one and try it out I'm still reluctant to part with my hard earned pennies. I've been to a couple of flyins and never managed to see one, let alone try it on, and people I have flown with are of a similar opinion, would possibly change if they could have a play, I would be happy to stump up the pennies if I were able to return it, but feel its a bit of a cheek to ask. If there was one made available to pilots to borrow for a bit on a trial and return basis I would certainly be interested. Badger
  13. Hi Mark I fly the speedster and just use the centre "a"s on a forward or reverse, wing comes up so easily and with a small amount of breeze it just sits there ready to go. Badger
  14. Hi airassault I have just up graded to a Zenith Moster and can only say how impressed I am with the whole set up, the zenith is light and very well made, lots of attention to detail and when assembled its very strong. I went for the Moster engine as I think it's about the best on the market at the moment, light powerful and simple, it's never missed a beat in over 30 ours that I've used mine, I looked at the others available and at the time nothing compared, the bigger Thor 200 is / was beset with problems and is a fair bit heavier & I felt that the Baily wasn't really powerful enough for me, on full reflex and take off I don't like revving the nuts off and like a little in reserve, however I haven't used one so not really a fair opinion. I have heard rumours that there is a new Moster coming soon but I can't find any details as to exact specifics & there is rumours of a new 2 stroke offering from another manufacturer. Another nice thing about the zenith is that it's pretty easy to change the motor if you fancy a change in the future?
  15. Hi George Welcome to the sport, I live just outside Bristol and fly in the area quite a bit, there are a fair few local pilots who fly regularly, we are a friendly bunch and happy to help anybody in the sport. Send me your details and I'll let you know when I'm next out. Badger
  16. I am Using a Gopro with various mounts, Helmet, cage and chest strap and I have a DSLR for stills and video when needed, it's a smallish Panasonic Lumix. The beauty of it is that you can change the lens as needed and keep it tucked away for take off and landing, either in a lap bag thing or around your neck on the strap and tucked under your flying suit or whatever. It's equally good at video footage and is really simple to use, it's not freakishly expensive so I'm not paranoid about flying with it. I'll post a link to some footage I took earlier this month when I can get You Tube to play ball. Badger
  17. Petty or what??? Not really in the spirit of the forum or the sport Not too sure what you wanted to prove but you have made yourself look very small minded. Badger
  18. Hi All I am planning a trip to Polzeath later this month and looking for info on local flying sites / rules, I've been seen a couple of pilots flying in the area and was wondering if there are any sensitive spots or good places to fly from? Any help would be appreciated Badger
  19. As above depends on the motor and layout of the conversion, I strap the frame and motor to the rear of the passenger seat, the netting goes under the bed when its out and the wing will fit next to the motor quite easily, either that or I pop the roof and sleep up there
  20. Hi Simon Where is Cadbury? I live near Weston super mare and have a few fields I fly from and would be happy to show you where they are, but the only Cadbury I know of is right under Bristol airport, I have a few fields near there but have never used them because of the hassle of R.T. With Bristol. Badger
  21. So jealous, can't think of a better place to play on a day like today - maybe next time! Badger
  22. Surfing & Flying all on your doorstep all in Beautiful Cornwall - does it get much better?? Wish I could join you but I am stuck in Bristol at the moment, maybe next time Badger P.S. Well done Simon, glad your back on line, it was very much missed!!

    Hang angle

Hi Stuart Thanks for the reply, I tried setting it up as per the manual and it felt way to far back, I'm about 105 kg and in the picture the hang point is set with 2 clear holes from the front, still looks like a big angle, but feels right when sitting there. Hi Paul, its tis bloody iPhone thing, looks great on an apple thing, on a PCM it looks like an expensive lawn mower, I'll try some bigger boots, flip flops and props aren't a good mix! Badger
  24. Hi Stevie I'll sign your petition to level the hills, they cause weather over here in sunny Bristol if the directions correct - Bring on the JCB's!!
