  1. Woh no way, I am 90% sure that must be the same power pack from my old walkerjet!!! That was nearly 8 / 9 years ago!! I will see what I have wiring wise for it. I had so much issues with the electrics of the motor. Search this forum for some info.
  2. Hey Guys I am currently on holiday, I have a spare motor at our holiday place. Its a Fly Evo 2 http://www.vittorazi.com/en/engine/motore/2-fly-100-evo-2/ I fly a paramania fusion 23m and weight is about 75kg. Motor in mint condition, Motor runs well but it very thirsty. Its burning about 5 / 6 ltrs per hour (inland flying. I fly a polini thor 100 back home and usually get 3 /3.5 per hour (costal). Any thoughts on why the evo is thirsty
  3. I can also vouch for these guys, I know David who runs the School. Nice bloke good school.
  4. Sweet cheers for the heads up guys. Will look at ordering parts.
  5. Hello all My thor 100 is about 6 years old. Recently I have noticed the prop always spins, Now runs like belt paramotor , Motor runs fine and i have adjusted idle speed but the prop still spins regardless of the level of the idle. The motor has clock up a decent amount of hours. Could it be time to replace the clutch pads. Any thoughts ??
  6. Flying a fusion 23m and yes have the same issue as above. Know allot of pilots who are the same, I usually put more pressure on the right hand swing arm via weight shift and this works. I tried the trim method but it did not work for me.
  7. Good to here you sorted it out.. My stator just failed on my thor 100. Polini would not sell me stator only, you have to buy flywheel and stator as one which is rubbish. IDM stators are pretty standard on most paramotors, I got one delivered from the UK to Australia, it arrived in 7 days. Get the from these guys: http://www.italjet.co.uk/index.php?act= ... ductId=871
  8. Agree with Matt, cant confirm for the 130 but I am also using spacers for the lungs to be able to engage the starter flywheel. You may have to do a little work to get it to work, but its worth the effort.
  9. Both are good engines, We have all been there at some stage, I didnt have clue what to look for when I bought my first motor, Bailey's engine are little of the heavy side for me but are meant to be rock solid, I have a polini thor 100 and yes its had a few issues but all motors do! Whats your budget? whats type of flying do you intent to do. For me I would not prefer a light weight motor with a good local support agent who can get parts near by ie Parajet, custom air etc
  10. Buy a non flash starter as a back up, problem solved. Bolt slots are the same. Seller in above link ships all over the world,
  11. Why the heck didnt you post that a week ago? My polini one shipped last night finally. Now if I can get someone to answer about adjusting the thor100 clutch.. Thanks Sorry dude.... Polini need to make there cut!! Middle man business at its best. More Polini cost saving tips... A few back my reed valve stuffed itself (having too much fun) Mine of course stuffed itself when Mr Polini went on there summer lonnnnnnnng holiday and also wanted mega money for the complete reed valve.. But Mr polini its only the carbon petals which are broke No you must buy the complete reed valve..
  12. Matt... I am actually currently living in Australia (Irish man living in Perth - last 5 years)
  13. FYI For those looking to replace there non flash starter.. Do bother with polini's rebranded Briggs and Stratton Starter Recoil Get a GENUINE Briggs & Stratton like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-Briggs- ... 5d3e49ec03 Exact same as the polini one, most lawnmower places can source one. I got one in an hour of looking for one. Don't be tempted to buy non original, I can confirm there are shite and made of Swiss cheese !!!!
  14. What he said, I can swap mine out in about 30 min but I have it down to down to fine art. I usually remove the top two engine mounts to allow for for the removal of the flash starter. I usually lay the engine on the ground or on a table when I remove the starter. If unsure get a mate who knows there way around two strokes to give you a hand.
  15. The combination of the thor 100 + flash starter = going to have problems Have not heard much many of the thor 130 having any issues with the flash starter. Best thing i ever did was swap out the flash starter for stock standard starter, works every time and don't have the fear now that the flash starter will unwind mid flight.
