I am happy to talk about the sport so call for a chat if your unsure of anything. (no question to stupid I can assure you) You should start by Joining this site. An all in course with Kit deal with me at Lambourn is £5,750. This get's you everything you need to fly, including the insurance. Great deals are available on my training for people who require a new wing and a motor from me as well. 3. not something I have tried to be honest. I think that when we do the 120 mile Dartmoor trip in the summer, I will consider the use of my Ipod phone thingy. (whihc also has GPS I might add. Nokia N70 (more than likely old hat now, I have had it 6 months)
  4. I will see what can be done by the tec bloke. Great to see you today, see Lambourn club form for start of thread if you want to tell us how your first XC went BTW, the mast is 5km from take off, you went 5km past it, so you got 10km away from take off which means you flew 20km out and back. If you include the buzzing around in all directions I recon you could add another 3-4km FACT you flew 20km PROB you flew 24km WELL DONE MATE! GLAD I COULD FLY IT WITH YOU 'sort of'
  5. What a great day had by all at the Lambourn Paramotor Club. A Maden XC Voyage had by on. Two Maden flights on nice new shiny Dudek tst's Bit of ground stuff, some spectators, lovely day. Thanks again to all who were here. (at last we got some flying done!!!! Pewhhhh I needed that soooo much
  6. Hi Pete, We have decided that we will not be having a day rate as such. We will be starting to charge people when we have open days maybe £2 a visit or something silly just to build up a bit of a club pot for the members X-mas party e.t.c but visiting pilots will be asked to join if visiting often. As far as site, seed take off e.t.c The site that we have all used it there for us to use as it is now. Farmers being farmers, you know what they can be like but...... I have been assured that the seed for the 'main site' will be down next week, and will take 6 weeks to grow but can be used after week 2 After this point, the site we are using now will be getting seeded and we move to our main site. then we can hop between the two. Also, as part of the www.paramotorclub.org thing, we aim to have another site in another location north of here up and running before the end of the summer. Paid up members will be able to use this as well. Hope this answers your questions.

  14. www.ParamotorClub.org Has been set up for the main purpose of promoting the sport of Paramotoring. We would like the vibe in this forum to remain a positive one, as it says on our homepage 'our one rule is to have fun' The members have the say! If you have any thoughts / ideas about how to improve the site please let us know as a member it is you who will benefit. Not here to govern We are not here to govern the sport in any way. Affiliate Clubs As a club or group of people in the UK who Paramotor you can set up your own affiliate club. Please get in touch if you would like to join in and build your Paramotor Club. Affiliate clubs are 100% free to set up and come with club product discounts for Insurance, Paramotors, Flying Clothing, and most flying kit. We also intend to hold 'inter club' comps and events. Club hopping around the UK will become the norm allowing people to fly further knowing there will be 20l of petrol at the next club site on the map, our aim is to be able to 'Club hop' the length of the UK before the end of Summer 2008. EDIT *** WE DID THIS IN 2007 *** A year ahead of plan. Please get in touch to help us make this happen. Most of All, Welcome & Enjoy. SW

    Trikes

So, Who can in one nice paragraph explain to me the UK and EU laws regarding powerd trikes?
  22. Stolen from my other site, cheers andy A man is in bed with his wife when there is a rat-a-tat-tat on the door. He rolls over and looks at his clock, and it’s half past three in the morning. “I’m not getting out of bed at this time,” he thinks, and rolls over. Then, a louder knock follows. “Aren’t you going to answer that?” says his wife. So, he drags himself out of bed and goes downstairs. He opens the door and there is a man standing at the door. It doesn’t take the homeowner long to realize the man is drunk. “Hi there,” slurs the stranger. “Can you give me a push?” “No, get lost! It’s half past three! I was in bed!” screams the man as he slams the door. He goes back up to bed and tells his wife what happened. She remarks, “Dave, that wasn’t very nice of you. Remember that night we broke down in the pouring rain on the way to pick the kids up from the baby sitter and you had to knock on that man’s house to get us started again? What would have happened if he’d told us to get lost?” “But the guy was drunk,” says the husband. “It doesn’t matter,” explains the wife. “He needs our help and it would be nice to help him.” So, the husband gets out of bed again, gets dressed, and goes downstairs. He opens the door but he can’t see the stranger anywhere in the dark, so he shouts, “Hey, do you still want a push?” He hears a voice cry out, “Yes, please.” “Where are you?” shouts the homeowner. The stranger calls back, “I’m over here, on your swing.”
