  1. All, As you may or may not know, that British Nationals are on next weekend. I am not flying but have said that I am happy to marshall for a day. (as it happens this is likely to be a great way to spectate as well.) I am driving up from Lambourn, so if anyone wants to help me to help the nats people, (one of which is Clive Bunce and also Dave H) They need help, we can provide it whos with me?

    Thrust

Can anyone tell me what 120 N of thrust converts to in KG?
  3. All, I hope that we will soon be adding more features to www.paramotorclub.org site. We could meka the weather a little more in depth. we could add more games, or maybe a video uploads are? Please give us some feedback so that we can make this site how you want it. If you have an idea that is not listed above please still post it here. Thanks all
  4. I am going to start pinning down a date for this and getting some stuff arranged. I suggest that we land at least once 'likely to be twice' on route so if you have a site we can use for this on the way to Dartmoor from here please let me know. I am thinking that we do the flight in the middle two weeks of August. we will need to all write off a week and then pick the best day for the flight closer to the time. Any thoughts, suggestions, now is the time
  5. http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?doc ... 0953650565 This is the tandem flight attempt with Francis and I on Sat. Enjoy.
  6. Alec, We have LOADS of members from Reading. for some bizzare reason. Hey all, please fill in your 'location' details if nothing else in your profile so that we can start to run some events, cheers.
  7. You can arrive from 09:00 but no flying can take place untill 10:00hrs. Our NOTAM is covering us from Sunrise, until Sunset on both Sat and Sun to 2500ft and 5km for 'Intense Paramotor Activity' The word you are looking for to describe your relationship 'issues' (for want of a better word) is that you need to do some 'Wife Maintinance' I think

    GPS

As long as you can install Airmap overlays your GPS will be fine. I use a Nikia N70 with GPSJ installed. and a MAP and compass as a backup when going a long way.
  9. Derek, You are more than welcome to come as a visitor and fly from the site. There will be buckets for donating money to the Air Ambulance so please feel free to put a fiver in that Postcode RG17 8RD See you there. And Welcome!
  10. All, FYI:- I am setting up the site today for the weekend fly-in. Tomorrow 'Friday' I am doing some security at Brixton academy until 0200 so after a drive back, I expect to get home to bed at about 04:00. I aim to be at the field for 09:00 - 10:00 the latest, there will of course be people there already (most of the club locals) Buzzing now.........
  11. Col, thats a good idea We could charge £60 per person!! Worth considering I agree. Will have a think, dont want to upset the people who have paid the full £60 already.........
  12. Hi, myworld. Its just you being tight. Its a great site, that you can use hasstle free all year round. I have to pay for it, so am just covering the costs, and extra cash will pay for Club stuff, club weather station, club tandem rig, whatever.....
  13. Francis 'the tandem guy' will be able to help you with that at the weekend, he is a Parajet Dealer and knows how to do it Sat and Sun NOT Monday.

  15. Hi, OK, to join our club pop over at the weekend where when we are having an oped day / fly in which we expect 30+ people to attend. Find me (Simon Westmore) and plonk £60 quid in my hand If you want a day of training and coaching, The weather looks perfect for tomorrow! I provide training as a full course or a day rate of £100. Its OK to be scared, but know that the goal is to 'enjoy' your flying not be scared of it Welcome to the site, hope to see you at the weekend. What motor and wing do you have?
  16. Rob, I will make sure that we have a 31 here for you mate I think Free flying has its upsides as far as Acro stuff and the silent flying. But to live in the UK and think you dont NEED a motor to fly is nothing more than silly in my eyes Great to see you, and see you at the weekend Cant wait now.....
  17. My loverly wife is going to make some fresh sandwitches for the Party at the pond. So, someone will take your order before 11:00 and they will be delivered on site at lunch time. Expect them to cost the same as the rubbish ones you get in the petrol stations but taste like they should have cost a tenner!
  18. All, Do you have some good flying pics? Please consider uploading them to your personal Album
  19. Rob, Ian, It was good to see you both as well, Ian when your able to get here, let me know and I will get a Synth here for you. Rob, PM me your weight in KG's please, so I know if you will require a 29 or 31 for a test flight. Good to put faces to names.
  20. Wingless at the mo mate, Also taking a drive up to the ParamotorUK show.
  21. Ian, If you cant find me, please call.
  22. As you are an existing pilot I would suggest a 31 ReAction. You can slow the landings down like any other wing, dont be scared off be seeing (fast landings) written in the messages you read. The wing has got brakes I hope this is of use.
  23. Cool, It will be good to meet up. Colin, you still wanting a lift mate?????
  24. John, What day are you going to Alconbury? I too will be there on Sunday with any luck.
