tommcb6016
We're getting one too! Tried stopping it at planning but might as well not bothered for the good it did It's all about money, and nothing to do with energy
Guest
OK so here we go...... I actually like wind farms and the idea of wind energy Its' just a fker when then end up on your airfield / race track / any other large enough lump of land being otherwise used. ptwizz
As with so many things that are fundamentally good ideas, wind power has been drowned in politics and nimbyism (the 'not in my back yard' brigade). I wonder if there was the same degree of ill feeling when the country's largest windmill was built in Old Buckenham in 1818? Pete.
bholleran
That is my new word of the day. Now I need to find a sentence to use it in. I might just run a quick quizz at work, as I am sure none of my work mates have ever heard of it. nimbyism
