alan_k
I was filling my log in and searching the depleting brain cells for a suitable word for the conditions I had flown in. It wasn't silky smooth and I wouldn't have called it thermic (only very slight bumps). I did have patches of sinking air and areas of lift such that throttle adjustment was needed to stay level. What would you call it? Cheers, Alan
phil1975
I was thinking of something more amusing, but what about active? I'm sure someone else will come up with something better soon though...

Cheers, Alan I really like this page lots of info http://www.expandingknowledge.com/Jerom ... nglish.htm But it sounds like you were in unstable air due to weak thermal activity. Small thermal bubbles. I've been in ones we call bullet thermals. These are fast rising small thermals that are a real pain! I'm thinking "unstable air due to weak thermal activity" ..... my guess
