Guest
All, I spent a few hours looking into an Electric Van yesterday..... They are getting up to 150 miles per charge, with many service stations with a rapid charge system which takes under an hour from 10% to 100% ( which they let you use for free, in most cases ) No tax, no £9600 fuel bill (and raising rapidly) I like this one, but I dont like the sub 100 mile range.... so still looking Has anyone got an electric car? driven one, know anyone with one.... http://www.alliedelectric.co.uk/electri ... ot-eboxer/ SW
Richwill15
Well you've seen my car not electric but cheap. I'm still interested in this but would really hope hydrogen fuel cell technology was available. That would fix a lot of things. How much was the van? I couldn't find a price. garyfreefly
The way I see it you could increase the range of any electric car without too much of a problem Just get a great big dirty fume belching diesel generator and put it on the back seat... Problem solved SIMPLES
Guest
LOL They do estimate that there will be at least a 5% increase in efficiency every year for at least the next 10. Some are claiming that they already have a motor / engine that is 15% more efficient ready as a bolt on for next year. The more I look into this, the more I am getting excited about it. Liquid Fuel, if becoming a posh persons thing! I can see why they have been investing so much into public transport now!! because everyone will be needing it soon!
