    Macro Prop.

Beg forgiveness if this is elsewhere - reads as an old thread, but didn't see it anywhere else. Macro prop specs available? I've seen pix of the carbon scimtar tri-blade design, and am curious about a mini2 retrofit. Who wouldn't like to drop rpms a bit and be quieter doing it? Simon: Do you have one or specs thereof? Bolt number and circle diameter Center Hole size Redrive recommendation (per your kit mention retrofit) Info including price is welcome.

    Spam

I've gotten this a couple times now: Fatal error: Call to undefined function log_spam() in /home/paramotorclub/QFLQ5O5K/htdocs/forum/includes/functions_post.php on line 162 Is it something I can avoid with a little knowledge or is it a bug I've discovered?
  3. I traded some mail with this fellow, who didn't seem to have much interest in making these for any commercial endeavor and suggested I ask a capable machinist to do it for me He did note that he was experimenting with differently pitched props to modify the thrust and audio signature. I expect it's come a long way since I saw his mail, but certainly a worthy result. Torque steer removal and added thrust as a result I expect despite gearbox losses.
  4. The comfort bars are restrictive, but generally the newer frame and cage designs are very strong. I've rubber legged down onto the skids on more than one sweltering summer day and not eaten a prop yet as a result or damaged the tank. I'm 6' 100kg myself, and am glad to have the Mini2's 150+ lbs thrust behind me on a hot humid day. I understand the need for it, but am not fond of running. One thing most WJ owners enjoy is not sitting in the dirt when they get into the harness. Makes standing a bit easier too. The WJ 200 had some ignition or carb issues to be sure are sorted first if it's an early model. It was unproven when I built mine so I went with the mini2. Frame design is what sold me on the WJ - tough and gusseted where it should be. The trade off is limited weight shift due to restriction of motion from "comfort" bars. I had one side take the brunt of a crossed wing thermic day launch and then cage as well. That's 150kg getting whipped onto the two mount bars sideways with only a crack to be welded. Bars come up to my lower rib cage, so a wide chest should not be an issue other than making risers snug to you. They offer some protection in the event of a faceplant as well that other machines do not. It's all a trade off. If the price lines up with the hours/shape it's in, I would do it again. Make sure it's got the 3.1:1 redrive...
  5. I fly an Epsilon 4 and retrofitted it with the E5 paramotor risers. As was said, the trimmers are intended to fly PG free flying disabled and hooked through your biner. They can be flown free or motor in either hang point and the only benefit of either is to make adjustment for variation in hang height. In my experience they are equivalent to speed bar in speed increase, they simply act back to front versus front to back with regard to AOA adjustment. The effect is the same. They were surprisingly cheap and worthwhile purchase, although they did not come with a pullied and thumb looped split A as the E4 risers had. Miss that a bit when grabbing ears. They were 100 Euro from Advance. I was concerned they may have been tailored for the E5 specifically, which is a different breed of glider then the E4 so asked advance about AOA @ trim variation, to which they said: " ."Edit: I am 100kg, my kit all up and full 14l wet is 50kgish (homebuilt RR clone) so I'm 20kg over on my E4 31. It flies hot anyway, but trim speed is about 40k and I've seen 55 on full trimmer when full (GPS) with this wing loading. I can cruise for 3.5 hours though ignoring thermals and enjoying the view on cruise. Check manufacturer specs on fuel burn @ rpm - on the mini2 it's roughly 2.2 l/hr @ 5500rpm. Every kit's different but I recommend the E5 pmotor risers regardless.
