Dave, as my signature shows I fly a 25m Synthesis with a PAP Ros 1400. I have only been flying 9 months but have found it a great beginner setup and logged over 50hrs on it. I have also flown a 26m rev and found it very similar though not as fast with trims out and not as responsive (more docile). Though this would be ideal for a beginner. I have only had the PAP motor but in my opinion they are one of the best made on the market that is reliable and spares can be got very quickly through Skydragons.

I was going to come down this afternoon Jock and see how you were getting on. I spoke to your wife and she said you were still there, I just thought time was running away and didn't risk it in the end. I had a nice 45mins this morning around Bromsgrove until I got cold. Does the landowner at Kerswell allow visiting pilots to take off and land or is it strictly for paid up members? Phil

Hi Dan, I went down to Malvern on a long XC Saturday morning, I never saw anyone else in the air! I passed the turf farm about a mile away but I was over 1500' Ended up having to do my first out landing in Upton Snodsbury as i'd forgotten to turn the fuel tank breather tap on and sucked the tank in. Managed and hour and a quarter like that before it starved of fuel! never mind no damage done....except my pride.

Get yourself a PAP Ros, in my opinion one of the best machines on the market.

Gordon, the fuel in Spain tends to have those little fibers floating in it too. My internal carb filter was blocked after no more than 3 hrs! I only get the odd bit in the UK after 10hrs.
