  1. Maybe his training is that good that he can teach you to fly across the Atlantic with your new flat top!!! Just a thought
  2. I like your thinking. I'm using fully synthetic at the min which I had left over from a previous toy but next time I buy some It will be of good quality but nothing to extreme I think. Very easy to buy the best of everything available but it soon ads up and spoils the best thing about paramotring ................ It's affordable to the average person!!! But not to cheap so it ends up costing me a motor!
  3. I can work on those. Still got to be an experience of a life time. Have to keep us posted on when it's on the box. Be good to watch with a cheeky insite on how it was made. All the best mate. Enjoy
  4. Really good to read about your adventure. Sound like way to much fun. Would like to take the opportunity to register for the apprentice scheme. Why would I be good for the position? Flying time: nearly 2 hours Equipment: wing, motor, helmet, digital camera from Argos! Personality: very willing! PLEASE!!!!!!!! All the best with your adventure
  5. I have got a 3GS and downloaded it fine. Don't know how? Did do a 7 hour update on my phone when it was new last year tho. Maybe that done it? Ain't got the wedge to follow through with the new app tho.
  6. Good good. Look forward to seeing you fly over. Give me a shout when ya flying and can make a randezvous mid air!
  7. Am I looking at the right registration page? £99 for the maps and registration on IPad/phone for 1 year????
  8. Eeww my eyes watered just thinking about it Plus thats PPL M regulation!!
  9. I use a 2 part ski suit. Prefer it to an all in one flying suit and might be easier to get one for a person of your dimensions. Plus its easier to get the undercarriage out when nature calls!!
  10. Hello mate. Where abouts in Kent are you? I'm in east tilbury in Essex so although not Kent I couldn't get much closer. I'm quite new to it my self with 2 flights under my belt. And I am a little under your lithe at 85 kg so can't offer much help on your kit. But if your any where near the dartford crossing I'm not to far from you so maybe a poss to come fly! Or get a few hours and a site around gravesend, grab your pass port and cross the Thames in style!
  11. Ye a few crossed words. No big deal. Nice place to fly from tho. And the air was really smooth about 8 ish.
  12. no mate, met Neilzy and a few others at canewden for a bimble round the field. Well chuffed with your wing mate. Getting confidence with it now to make it do what I want it to. And with only hour and half of flying under my belt I think that says a lot for the revo 2. You been up?
  13. I had my second flight on my revo 2 last night to follow up on my earlier post. Yet again 100% comfortable. Easy launch and take off in very low wind. A few low ish passes over the field and a few nice turns at height and not once did it give me any reason to doubt it. I love my wing! Think you will too mate.
  14. And to follow up Durdle door you will have to see if bovington tank range effects you but I have seen paramotors flying in the area before Enjoy. Stu
  15. Hello mate. I brought outkasts revo 2 and so far have flow it once. I was terrified, especially after a full frontal collapse and it took forever to get it to launch. Not to mention being very unstable in very calm conditions. …............ Only joking. It was the best feeling in the world and gave me a lot of confidence looking up and getting the feeling the wing wanted to be there. Sounds strange but it just felt so natural to be flying with it. With my whole 40 mins flying time I'm hardly a pro but as a novice I can vouch for it. GOOD CHOICE !!!! Thanks Dave
  16. Hi. I've never flown the area but have been down that way countless times. I would really reccomended Durdle door and the coastline along that way. Not sure on where you could take off but if ya find somewhere let me know. Also I've seen para gliders on the hills by Harry's rock between swanage and studland so if ya can find out where they meet they might have info? Good luck and keep us posted
  17. I was thinking boot sales earlier. One local to me too. I can still use the field you saw when you came down. Just got 3 foot of hay on it at the min and the other field we walk through has got 4 foot of rape on. Farmers can be a really selfish bunch sometimes. Should think of paramotors once in a while.
  18. Ye that's what I think the problem is. What with the whole suing culture now and every one wants to play the blame game. And thanks for the offer on coming down. May well take you up on that. I'm trying to find something local aswel. I was flying micro lights a few years back but had to stop due to money and also the constant traveling. started paramotoring for the cheapness and simplicity so really want a field local for those quick summer evening bimbles!!! But still keen to see new places.
  19. Doubt it was me. I was 200 miles away and wasn't flying
  20. Ok mate. Got one last option. Model club meets in my local and they have got a field just off the a127 on the a128. Looked at it on google and would be perfect. In the process of finding and talking to them But finger crossed its a possibility. At least then I'll get to use your wing again if it comes up I'll let ya know.
  21. Hi all. Been looking hard for land to use around my area (east tilbury). So far a have asked a farmer who I already have ties with (shoot on his land), another farmer local to me and Thurrock rugby club who have enough land in the form of 3 rugby pitches to take off from. The general reply I get after asking them is "I'd love to help but my insurance won't permit as we are not covered for that" What I want to know is is this a common problem and is there anything I can do to over come this problem. I am happy to sign a disclaimer or come to an agreement over "liability" if anything went wrong. This seems to be the only thing stopping people saying yes. I've offered money for the use of the land aswell. Thanks peeps.
  22. I got a paramotor, 3 shot guns and some zip ties. Anyone game?
  23. I like it. Wouldn't fancy getting getting pelted with paint balls while flying tho. Them things hurt!
  24. Ah well that's just burst my bubble!! Thought I was on to something. When I started flying I didn't give it a second thought as I am surrounded by fields and farms. How wrong I was. Had one field but it's used for hay. Grass up round my waist now so that's a no go. Ill Keep searching tho. Thanks col
  25. I am searching for a place to take off near to home in east tilbury and not having much luck at the min. A paramotor flew past my house Sunday evening and would love to find out if by any chance he might have taken off local (and if so is there room for one more ) If any one has info I would really appreciate it.
