  1. He's posted another today with lots of low level stuff and over a theme park too, the locals seem somewhat bemused by it all!
  2. Wonderful news, now we just need to wait to see what Onrisk say about it too! My PAP will now fly further than a Kobra, nah nah ne nah nah!!
  3. Here's some new vids from Deano (who taught me to fly) out in Bangalore, India where he appears to be having rather a lot of fun! http://uk.youtube.com/user/Paraviation
  4. Just saw it on my local BBC news here too but looked for a link to watch again and they still have yesterday's news as the latest edition!
  5. Something odd here, surely with 30 hours flying time and unlimited budget you'd have answered all these questions and had more idea about what you want/need long ago! Me suspect a wind up!
  6. go ahead then Chris if you are psychic enough to know what country this chap is from, whether he has been trained in any shape or form, his age, his budget etc...
  7. Totally agree, I only have 7 flights under my belt but all on a non reflex wing which is soft and slow and I still have the most exhillarating time every time I fly, no desire to upgrade in the foreseeable future!

    Amazing!

Ah, I did spot you on your stand at Weston but you were with the t**t so didn't bother saying hello! Is my old quad still running somewhere?

    Amazing!

I was stood right alongside that one, must admit it did make my arse tighten when I saw it land on his leg, he was back riding a few weeks later though!
  10. Thats because you are still at that desperate to fly stage, once you've nailed a few good ones there's no hurry any more! I hate the fecking cold so I don't wanna go flying in it although the clear days it often brings do look quite appealing! When did you get your 2nd one in then, I didn't see a report, did you get in the seat that time?
  11. Shove it up yer arse then!
  12. I would like the choice at the moment Pete You do have one! It wasn't an empty promise I made old chap, just shout if you want to use it as its gathering cobwebs at the moment and I know if you use it that it will come back with all the bolts tightened etc.. albeit your arse might stretch my harness a bit Seriously I have no desire to fly in this kind of weather particularly as I'm still a novice and don't want the cold to add to the concentration I need just to take off and land the thing! 07894 707965
  13. I'm still here too but I'm afraid I am a fair weather flyer and hate the cold so I doubt I'll be out for a while! Any news on the kit Pete?
  14. The first time I got picked up, the 2nd time I got a train to Figueres and got picked up from there! I thought about hiring a car but its a lot to shell out for something that will be sat still most of the time!
  15. That's so annoying, why do heaters always pack up when its cold and wipers always pack up when its raining? Sorry matey, no idea how to fix it, just couldn't resist poking fun at the obvious!
  16. Hi Steve Does the music not provide the extra few quid needed? I went to Skyschool also and split it over 2 weeks, one in Oct 07 and the other in Apr 08, I wrote a blog about the first week at http://www.getjealous.com/supermalc , I never bothered with writing about the 2nd week as it was quite non eventful after doing my back in on the 2nd day! You'll have a right laugh with Deano and the boys and the scenery is spectacular if you get to do a cross country! I was in the same boat as you with funds but in the end I decided I would only fly brand new equipment and bunged it on the credit card! Cheers Malc
  17. Nice music and I wish I could hit those high notes, reckon we should be able to have a good old musical fly-in this coming summer!
  18. Complete bastards, I just hate that when you work your arse off to do something you enjoy and then some lousy git just walks in a takes it! I'll keep my eyes open and tell some other folks who don't look at the forums. One would hope that some poor innocent chap will buy it and then start posting here or elsewhere for some advice, as yours is not standard Pete then hopefully it will be easier to spot! Again Pete, I'm unlikely to fly again until the spring (might have one attempt on Christmas Eve though just to show my foreign visitor) so if you want to borrow my pap then just ask mate and its yours! Cheers Malc PS: I can prove I was in London at the time your honour!
  19. So come on then Simon, how many thousand have you sold so far? We're all dying to know I'm sure!!
  20. Got mine, it don't play very well on my dvd player but that thing is prehistoric, perfect on the pc though! However, Simon you need to recall them all immediately as my name is spelled wrong in the credits, doh! Seriously though, great vid that should prevent having too many new pilots joining us in the sport and for me I had a little teary moment hearing my song on there and my mispelled name! Good effort boys and girls!
  21. Nothing here, unless it went to my home address! Funnily enough I use 2nd class most days and it usually arrives the next day! It makes no sense at all!
  22. There is a paramotor training base in Pune, India http://www.paraglidingindia.com/paramot ... ining1.htm Also Skyschool's instructor Deano is currently in southern India with his paramotors for the next couple of months I believe!
  23. Don't feel a numpty at all Ben. As a veteran of some 50 aborted takeoffs for reasons I still don't understand I eventually nailed it and am glad I stuck with it! There's nothing normal or natural about running across a field and defying gravity, eventually it will all feel perfectly normal. And there is no hurry either, or pressure from anybody else, when it feels right you'll do it and until then you won't, end of!!
  24. Ah, well done buddy, that first flight is something special regardless of how bad it was but it gets better each time. I had some trouble seating but now I launch with all the straps pretty loose and I'm comfortable from 10 feet upwards then I just idle at about 400 foot and kick up and strap in and its cushty all the way! Good luck with number 2!!
