  1. Tim. Thanks for your reply. I've had a LBP for many years (as Simon knows, because I never practiced with a motor on my back). This afternoon I am pain feel so I am thinking waiting about six months (over the winter period) and go again. I sometime use a trolley thing to take the motor out in the field and even use the DIY steps to put it on - very good idea. Thanks again Tim

    Might even think about going to FlySpain again for some PG'ing Which was great fun, but don't fancy doing it in the UK.

    Simon - problem with a trike is all money again and not many years left :cry: Also I saw Dan the Camera Man take off on the fly in :shock:

    Main thing is i don't do many hours now (10 hr pa) But no plans on given up

  2. You only need a supercharger if the air does not go through the engine.

    The air is forced up in to the cylinder by the piston going down with the reed valves closed.

    The expansion chamber is tuned to push as much of the fresh air/fuel mix back in to the cylinder that has passed straight through due to the open port design of the engine.

    If fuel is injected after the ports are both closed then it cannot escape.

    no having to mess with carb settings

    no fuel mixing needed

    CONS

    More electronics to go wrong

    high pressure fuel pump needed

    Air compressor needed (to atomise the fuel in the combustion chamber

    Oil in to crank needs sorting

    separate oil tank

  4. Jock can you pay a one off fee for 1 days flying ?

    I will go and ask,geoff who used to run the kite feilds,rang me to say his shed at the kite feilds was broken into and his flexie foil kite and ppg/hg kit he bought from america was taken along with other suff.seems someone knew the combo of the lock,its the only kit of its kind that i know off from america so it should stand out if sold on ebay,etc,then he told me of the £50 a yr charge,

    Can you get details of the kit and post it up so we can all look out for it?
