What does the maximum extended weight refer to? E.g. as with ITV wings. Mine lists the following:
Minimum in flight weight - 110Kg
Maximum in flight weight - 150Kg
Extended Weight limit - 180Kg
I'm 90Kg, the motor is 30Kg, Clothes, Boots, helmet, camera, radio etc maybe another 15Kg... so all up I'm somewhere around 135Kg (not including fuel... yet). Am I too light on my wing or about right?
Not being funny but look at the minimum weight for your wing and you decide!!

Dont count your fuel in the weight range as you will end up with an empty tank which weighs nothing.

why would you not include the weight of fuel in your all up weight? its weight the wing will be carrying, its not like you are going to be leaving it behind.
Beacause it could leave you under weight on your wing when the tank is empty.
Its not the max weight thats important its the minimum weight.

I use silicon, any high temperature one will do but if your not sure then gate on for fireplaces such as Vitcas.
Its still good after 2 years

Surely there must be some schools that do tandem trikes / quads. To me the easiest way to get a big bloke in the air.
Don't give up......flying is the best drug you will ever get addicted to......trust me, I'm addicted.

If you know what you are doing you could always convert it to a low hang point as I have done on my Bulldog, or get a low hangpoint machine as its so much easier launching compared with high hang points.

I would go for the miniplane set up, the bars will not push down on the passenger when running as there is no weight to press down and in flight you want the passenger slightly lower as in the picture so you the pilot can see unobstructed.
You can always move the hang points forward more to lift the passenger more if you wish.
The uturn set up puts a LOT of strain on the webbing where it goes over each end of the bars so would need a very though check prior to each flight.
Remember always carry a reserve you are responsible for your passengers safety!!!!

The CAA are conducting a review of red tape affecting all forms of GA and sport aviation. This is a golden opportunity for paramotors with wheels to be included in the SPHG definition. All it will take is the CAA to be persuaded that "the aircraft is footlaunched" should include footlaunched aircraft that can have an adaption that lets them take off from wheels.

Bombard it with the suggestion that aircraft weighing less than 70kg fully fueled whose slow flight speed is less than 30kts should be included in the SPHG definition merely by the CAA taking the view that "if it can be foot-launched it is SPHG irrespective of if it also has wheels".

I use a 3S nominal 11.1v (and a peak voltage of 12.75 at full charge and no load.)

This will give 147A continuous and 294A burst discharge
I actually use a slightly smaller 3000mAh/20C one and that still delivers plenty of oomph. This will still give a continuous discharge of 60A and a burst discharge of 120A which is fine for 250W starter needing 20A nominal
And I use PB's suggested dead ignition spin up method.

I always hold the stop button and get it spinning over then let the stop go, never had any problems with oil in the plug or kick back.
Got to love simonini they are the Duracell of paramotors.

With the parajet and simonini motors I have/had I never had a problem, touch wood.
One thing I do is make sure i have a good battery that spins it over quick and starts the motor quick to save the starter working hard, I have disabled the charging to the start battery on my EVO and have a Li-Po which starts it immediately for about 70-100 starts between charges.

I find if you don't get a reply by e- mail then try calling the phone it can take a few calls sometimes to get through, this is referring to any communication please remember not all e-mails and text get through some are lost in cyber space forever
I have always found Clive to be very helpful and good natured even when he has been flat out working and would recommend him and the bulldog to anyone. ( he don't do low hang point though!!
