jock
leave that one alone its a con.no internal engine mods standard exhaust/carb it will never get you off the ground, etc.no vid of it flying.its been talked about on this form before.build your own and use the bailey kits.there is a gx200 engine on skyads with all the bailey bits and helix prop.much better option if you want gx engine.i have loads of gx bits and my old reduction for sale.if funds are an issue.buy a wiltec gx200 and my reduction will fit..but the bailey kits are the best option. irm750
Is that a petrol strimmer throttle in the picture??? Count me in the list of people who are seriously looking at building their own GX200 type 4-stroke motor. Thinking I could remove the low powered solo 210 from my 130 size walkerjet and graft the 4-stroke in. Or maybe I should just get in touch with Freshbreeze and buy a bigger head, tuned exhaust and beefier prop? Jock - I've been looking at the Bailey (reduction and exhaust) and GX160parts.co.uk (engine/carb mods) web sites. Are the Loncin and Wiltecs identical in layout and design to the original Honda GX200 so that parts designed to fit the Honda will bolt straight on? I'm assuming that because you are recommending a wiltec engine for your reduction drive that there are differences that we need to watch out for? Thanks, Ian. jock
only the wiltec crank output shaft is different to the loncin and honda.the bailey bottom pulley wont fit, the dia of crank is slightly different.but bailey would make small pulley if needed. .use the loncin if you are going for bailey bits all other bits are the same in all engines.dont forget to cut 10-20mm of end of crank before fitting the bailey small pulley or you will need prop spacer. make sure you still have enough theard in end of crank so you can fit holding bolt for pulley.also you have to mod the pull cover so engine mount rubbers will fit very easy to do,just bore holes so bolts fit. bailey use the loncin engine..fit billet rod.fit honda alloy flywheel from gx160.mill the head 0.75/fit stainless valves & collets, you can keep standared piston or fit a flat top one.bailey carb kit/exhaust.and a 130 prop is a must. ive just started making frame for the gx200 powered hg.i will have it at the nats.it may or not be ready for flight but it will be there......... amc1929
Hi im no expert in this field but i used to race pitbikes. check out ooracing website as they can build any range of hp that you need from 12 hp right up to 29 hp, i dont know how you would fit prop or if even possible but engines are very identical to bailey in some ways. not that expensive really for top of the range engine say 27 hp i think they are around £899.00 brand new. The guy who owns the company is called Adrian and yes hes british.

Hi fitting prop and redrive is easy.its the weight of the engine thats important.what does the pit bike engine weigh.giving that the gearbox can be taken out as its not needed.lots of paramotors have used motorcycle engines in one guise or another.im sure ive seen vid of pit bike motors beeing used.its not all about hp in a 4 stroke but more of low torque=rpm at given prop speeds.i got 7-8000rpm from the gx200 but as bailey pointed out we only need 6300rpm for max thurst with our redrive and hp.so you dont need to go to wild on hp.no reson a pit bike motor cant be used. AndyB
Let me think. It's about 8 kg heavier than my current engine. The pull start goes down, where I can't reach it..or mount it sideways and all the fuel leak out the filler cap. Pass.
