paramotormike
Wow what a day. Smooth and up for 4 hours (with some landings to swap camera positions). The video is rendering at the moment and then needs to be uploaded to U-tube. Might not be ready till tommorow! I moved the Go Pro Hd Cam from the helmet postion to my foot and also actually on the wing looking down. Got to almost 4000ft and did a whole pile of 2ft off the deck. Followed a heard of Deer for a while. (kepy my distance). A really great day. Video to follow. Mike. Edited March 3, 2010 by Guest

paramotormike
Here is the Video link. Interesting cam angle at 2mins 50secs, didn’t quite get it centred, next time! There’s a link from my website too. www.pmmike.com Cheers Mike
flyingdoc
Great video Mike. How did you attache the camera to your foot?
paramotormike
Used the velcro knee wrap mount from my altimeter. Attached it to the GO Pro HD by trapping the thinner stretchy bit of the velcro wrap in the door of the Go Pro HD. Then just wrapped it around my ankle, and attached a saftey wire. neilc
Brilliant video Mike!!.......Especially where you have the camera fixed to your wing, never seen that before. How was the camera attached ?........ Neil
paramotormike
Hi Neil, Thanks. I had it all that day.... The Go Pro HD comes with a 4" square plastic mount in the packaging. This is to hold the camera in the display case only. I took this plate and the right angle cam attachment. Putting the plate inside the opening of the wing, you can carefully mount the cam on the outside, with the wing material held between. And a safety wire. But I was worried about the weight! scottishmotorman
Lovin' your work Mike. What resolution are you running the GoPro on and what are you using to do your video editing? I've tried using Sony video editor but it runs like a dog on my laptop. Cheers.
