  1. Hi

I just wanted to let you all know about a very busy weekend,

On Saturday 19th one of Sussex Paramotors customers broke the UK and world record for Speed over a closed circuit 50km flying his Mac Fly 250 and hadron xx 22m with a speed of around 77kph the week before he broke the UK 15km speed record and on Sunday the 20th I managed to break my own UK and world record for time to climb to 3000m flying my Mac Fly 250 and Ozone Viper 3 26m with a time of 15m 25seconds.

  2. This is a really great idea...

I hope to see loads of new comp pilots coming into the comp scene.. For anyone interested but worried your not good enough to compete please put your fears worries aside, there is a huge wealth of knowledge and experience, I am sure every experienced pilot at the comp would help you out as much as possible..

You might just surprise your self, I know I did in my first comp season..

  3. HI

    Ive had a speedster 28m 26m and 24m I now fly the Viper 3 22m..

My experience of flying the GTX 22 against the Speedster 24m was that the speedster was faster.

The viper 3 does demand good pilot skills when flying in Thermic conditions and does move around more than the speedster.. like a high end paraglider wing.. The handling of the viper is Great IMO and returns some very positive feed back to the pilot.. Some may not like this..

The viper 3 is not a hugely fast wing but returns Amazing eco figures and has one of the if not the best glide out there at the moment. IMO. I am getting 2lph on a 22m with a Mac Fly polini 250 without touching any of the carb settings or playing with the Prop pitch..

I also free fly with my viper 3 and holds it's own with some of the Hot ship Paraglider wings on the hill.

If you do have regular PG hours in active air and like to fly XC and thermal PPG the Viper 3 is a very good wing to fly..

If i wan to go places Fast I will use my 16m Slalom, This gives me the best of both worlds!! 49kph @ 3lph 65kph @ 5.33lph full fast and bar is 75kph... rough fuel burn of 8.0-8.5lph

The viper 3 gives me 38kph @ 2lph fast 50kph ish @ 3lph.. You can work out for your self that the Best KPL will be from the Viper 3..

    I am also 120kg all up.. ;-)

  4. Rob

Its not the wing its your motor.. ;-) the Moster is not at all efficient.

I can get 2lph out of my Mac Fly 250 without playing with any jets or prop pitch.. ;-)

I Can also get 3lph on my 16m Ozone Slalom again without play with settings..

  5. I'm not sure what carl does...

I have fitted a bungee with a small metal ring over or around the pull cord.. if it does kick and you let go it will not hit the rad...

I prime the bulb until firm a few gentle pulls on the cord to get the fuel up. wind up the flash them give it a hard pull and she will fire right away.. You do have to try to pull through the kick.. If you wimp out, it WILL Kick... All with a little crack on the the throttle...

I find for the first start up do it on the floor while seated in the machine..

  6. I know that....

Why not ask the factory for his details and ring him

It might be a good idea to get in contact if you have any issues with your machine in the future...

We would Love to become the UK dealer for Miniplane but i don't want to tread on his toes as he is very local to me...

  7. Miroslavs system is not recommended By Ozone... As far as i am aware it has not been tried on a speedster when i spoke with him at european slalom championships...

There is another system but again it is for the Slalom not the speedster... and is only for Advanced/competition pilots..

What size speedster do you have? I have never had an issue with the speedster for low level flying on bar.

  8. Hi Poz

there is a thread on Paramotor forum that i started...

    http://www.paramotorforum.co.uk/viewtop ... f=2&t=1966

I have noticed a very high angle when on full power on the 26m Viper 3 and the hornet.. Also on the Mac Fly 250 22m & 26m Viper 3.. I am in the NO camp regarding power stalling the wing but i wasn't sure if it was possible or not so started a thread... I guess it may be something i will get used too.. But i was very unsettling having the wing that far back..

I have noticed much better climb rates on full fast trims only trimming in when higher up.. I am going to go some tests climbing on full trims and bar with the 250...

  9. Hi Poz

I have not had any issues with temps. so far but i have only had a few hours on my motor plus ambient temperatures are really low in the UK at the moment...

You really do not need full throttle on the 250 to achieve very good climb rates.. The main concern would be the wings angle. depending on witch side of the fence you site regarding power stalls on PPG wings..

My Mac Fly is only 32kg with water no fuel, approximately the same weight as a zenith 200..

I am going to do some testing for my time to climb record attempts on the 250 as soon as we have a good weather window..

I have managed to achieve around 17m.45s to 3000m on the hornet and the 250 has much more power than the hornet..

Most of the 250 units we have sold have been for slalom style flyers not people who want to go very high.
