  1. Hi No, it's very much alive... The prototypes have been completed and the final revision, patents being applied for... But at present I'm in discussion with a third party Watch this space on Thursday next week... All will be revealed!
  2. Absolutely mint! Please do Or txt me 0. 7900.... 549....309 Thanks slapper
  3. Thanks fellas, Il give andy a shout... Really fancy a late afternoon beach run... But not if il get a roasting! Although if 500ft I doubt they can do anything... And you never know when you may develop engine problems and need to get down to land on the beach.. Oh it's gone right again, no it hasn't, yes it has Thanks
  4. Hi fellas I took the bin lids up to formby beach yesterday, was like goin to Spain! Ace weather and lovely beach.... There's a microlite strip. / club nearby, I just wondered whether anyone had any good take of / landing fields nearby as I'd really fancy a early evening trip along Thë coast Thanks
  5. I've a great idea! Buy one, then take the engine out and put it in a Parajet frame
  6. I've heard a lot of good things about the moster engine too, Can't say I like anything else about it though!, Cage netting doesn't look too clever, nor the wing attachment points.... I'd go Parajet if I were you
  7. Mmmmmmm I think both Simon and sticky grape have a point.. Ok.... I give up! Off to the petrol station...... Just think of the sound of 6 ducted fans tho! Nice!
  8. I get that... But 6 thrusters costing around 300 each... And 1k work of batteries And 1k worth of frame etc... Still good value, and I wonder if the life span of the lipos costs more than petrol costs over their lifespan?? Just curious!! Or could it be the next project?
  9. I saw this, and hope it may benefit somebody on here A very useful site, maybe a uk version is in order?? Unless there is one and I don't know about it of course! Doh! http://www.usppa.org/News/product_advisory.htm
  10. It's only as powerful as your finger is on the trigger, The key will be how good you are taught to use your finger! Personally, I did a paragliding course before adding power, it gave me the knowledge of how my wing feels ( and I felt ) at 1000ft without the complication of the Paramotor, Plus the wing control aspect of it and ground handling as you say payed dividends later on I converted myself with no formal instruction, and besides jumping in the seat too early on my first launch - dohhhhh! I haven't looked back and I flew a Parajet macro with a synth 34 as I'm 120kg, it's like launching a bus! If you haven't been in the air before I'd certainly go do a tandem paraglide, or a few lessons, But that's my opinion...and what worked for me Good luck
  11. Excuse me if This sounds thick, but if you have 2 of those producing 10k thrust each, do you still have a combined thrust of 10kg, or do you have the equivalent of 20?
  12. Sorry if this had been posted before.. Not seen it [youtubevideo] [/youtubevideo]
  13. It may be possible to have it drilled for both sets of holes, il look into this once the prototype is done... Would certainly make sense!
  14. Hi stu, If yours is the 6 pin version then yes it should fit, but I will check my old single carbon prop to make sure, I know that the reduction is smaller so I will check stud spacings But once I have Thë prototype it will be able to be adapted for any machine I think... Prop needs to have 25mm hole in centre though Thanks Mark
  15. It will space the prop from the reduction by around 12mm My rotron is already using a 10mm spacer to keep the prop away from The reduction drive because it gets very hot!
  16. Parajet... Good strong frames, ideal if you jump in the seat too early on your maiden flight as I did! From personal experience ( and my flying buddy ) the most amazing after sales service Loads of variants and Parajet refurbished 2nd user units for sale.. Parajet all the way for me! And no... I don't work for them, although i should do as I don't get paid for telling anyone how happy I am with my second one!
  17. Couldnt help but smile - my v5 prop quick-release described perfectly! Nige Lol, yes... The bailey version is very inspiring!
  18. I did ask Parajet if they could / had any plans to make a QR prop, and nothing was planned for anytime soon, but of course once made il send one to Parajet, I'm not after a profit here, just want to make things easier for myself, and if that helps anyone else in the meantime then great, I dare say Parajet or any other manufacturer could make one a lot cheaper....as they have the equipment necessary. Of course safety is first, and il be all ears and welcoming suggestions once the prototype is ready.
  19. Although I didn't get to fly at the Cheshire fly in, I did get some inspiration for a quick release prop. I don't know about anyone else, but I find the process of fitting the prop a bit tedious, not knowing if I've tightened the bolts equally, losing spring washers etc etc, plus concern that the constant use will weaken the threads. So! I've developed a quick release system for the Parajet prop. Following a similar principle to another manufacturer that declines to sell unless buying a new machine, I've developed a retro fit device that makes the fitting of the prop a single bolt job. It provides even distribution of pressure throughout the face plate, is tightened with one Allen bolt, and has a safety pin to prevent it coming loose. It's easy to retro fit, and also gives a bit more prop / cage clearance which has to be good news in itself! It's all alloy CNC machined, stainless steel pins etc and il have pictures of it fitted within about two weeks and is currently to fit the 3 blade prop although I would consider other variants, even other Paramotor setups if the interest was there.. The full kit will have a cost of £80.00, but if I could get an order for 10 together I'm sure negotiation could take place with the supplier. The question is, would anyone else be interested?
  20. Absolutely well done mark, 100 % for organisation bud. Only sorry us stories were a bit wussy for the weather conditions, and didn't make it back on Sunday. But nice to meet a few new people and check out other peoples machines.. Well done!
  21. Meds, Greenlaning is absolutely amazing, plus it's an all weather sport, Be happy to take you out on a beginners route one day, although don't expect to be bored by that! It's bloody hard work! See u at weekend
  22. I think the one you mean is right next to high edge raceway meds... I learned to ground handle there, and was over there on my Ktm the other week Good access all over the peaks from there too, Was talking to a fellow Ktm rider who lives behind and says Thë farmer is sound See u at weekend!
  23. Today in the morning you were spotted over chatterly Whitfield mining museum and at 5pm a Paramotor flew over my house, even dropped in to my field behind, Blue wing I think with a splash of yellow on tips.. Would love to know who you are as you must live local to me... Ps, land on the field anytime an drop in for a brew! I tried you on 143.750 which is what we all use round here, but I guess as a solo pilot you have no comms Get in touch!
