  1. Hi all, After being really interested in paramotoring for a short while now, watching countless videos, reading and subscribing to magazines and even going on a tandem flight at Manchester paramotors, I know I now want to do a course. However, so far i have been put off as knew I didn't have 6k+ for good equipment post the course, so couldn't afford to keep up the new hobby. After some research I came across PPG100 and thought it was an excellent way (post course) to get my hours and experience up without the instant effect on my wallet. I know that it is being handed over this year to parajet but wanted to know if it's still running and what others think of it as an affordable option to getting into paramotoring. Additionally, if anyone knows of any other similar schemes then please let me know. Thanks, Dan
  2. Is PPG100 still available? I want to do a paramotoring course but so far been put off as knew I didn't have 6k+ for good equipment post the course, so couldn't afford to keep up the new hobby. After some research I came across PPG100 and thought it was an excellent way (post course) to get my hours and experience up without the instant effect on my wallet. I know you are handing it over to Parajet but in the mean time is it still available? If so, then I am really interested in doing the course at your training field (even though it's a 3hr, 1-way trip from Manchester) so I am suitable trained and am then eligible for PPG100. Additionally, if anyone knows of any other similar schemes then please let me know. Thanks, Dan
  3. Thanks for the link Alan. The videos are excellent! An additional bit of news from my side. For my birthday the wife has bought me a groupon voucher for a half day paramotoring experience with Manchester Parargliders, so this will wet my appetite and keep the paramotor flame burning until i save up for course and gear!
  4. Hi all, As the title states I'm a total beginner. Always been fascinated about being in the sky, went on a sky diving course a while back and did a few jumps. I loved the views, the peacefulness of gliding down once the canopy was open. But I wanted to experience it longer and following research I stumbled upon paramotoring. Now I read a couple of paramotor magazines then subscribed, checked gallery's of photos and vids on YouTube and I'm still eager to start this as my new hobby! I live just outside Manchester by the airport and have checked out all the courses throughout the country but really don't know which is best! Can anyone recommend a good total beginner course for me as well as the best beginner equipment!! Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks Dan
