  6. well, the bobble hat brigade are always out to get you, but im TRF so i follow the code of conduct... ish! lol. with the weather turning now its perfect for laning and just as much fun! get one bought! -- id recommend the ktm 400 for laning dont go 2 stroke, too noisy and walkers hate em! you should come up to the peaks one day --- some amazing lanes.
  7. well, yet another biker here too! retired from sport bikes now due to being knocked off my ducati 1098s just after having twins, so dont ask me why but my missus thinks paramotoring is safer!! -- at least there is a lack of blind old ladies flying paramoter! previous sport bikes include ducati 749, ducati 999,Yammy R1. Still on the road though - just sold my 2 ktm's and bought a new ktm 530 excr.. i do a bit of greenlaning, much more fun and a bit safer!. any more greenlaners???? -- regularly up the peaks if anyone fancies a blast.
  8. for ground handling there is a great field by high edge raceway ( off buxton road ) its where parapente teach beginners and takes wind from all directions... not sure about flying from there though, although it looks perfect for it.
  9. hi all, looking for either yaesu VX7-r or alinco dj xxx or other with same connections capable of tx on 143.700 as well as rx urgent!! thanks
  10. that is the standard version of the one i sold - but that ones for cheats as you can reset the hour meter!! and are also particular to firing rotation, ie you need to buy the EXACT one for your firing. the commercial looks the same but no reset, and other features, plus it revs to 20k -- scream that prop!
  11. Dont worry simon im puttin in classified too! For sale on behalf of a friend: Parajet Macro - purchased from gilo a few weeks ago as ex demo model - mint condition Apco Thrust Hp 2008 size custom made all black - looks amazing! size large ( well actually called medium but its the larger of the 2 sizes -virtually Brand new flew round the field for 5 minutes, packed up and took home. Helmet - Carbon fibre with full micro-avionics headset with side tone, mp3.phone jack etc. (il find out helmet model ) Unfortunatley a change in employment circumstances means he has to sell open to sensible offers bearing in mind its worth around 5k and is practically brand new

  13. Hi all, I have a brand new unopened Tiny Tach Commercial - you can set the unit to work on all different firing rotations so will fit practically all paramotors although im not sure about the 4stroke ( check on the tiny tach site ) i bought this along with mine for my friend, who is selling up for personal reasons and cant afford to pay for it. i got a special price as we bought 5 and paid 40 quid inc postage. il pass it on for 30 quid inc postage to any interested fellow forum members - like i say zero hours never fitted. BARGAIN!
  14. i can live with that!!, il keep my eye out for a date that i can make then. thanx!
  15. id like to pop over to one of these get togethers and id be really gratefull if someone can show ME how to reverse my revo 30 in NIL wind!
  16. hi ian, really appreciate that.... pm sent! thnx
  17. jesus, i never really wanted a tattoo..... but i do now!!! airborne - death from above!!! very nice, if the t shirts look remotely like this i'l have some please!
  18. imho bud, go parajet or similar, the bailey's frames are nice, but like butter ( unless you go titanium i suppose ), one bad landing or launch and your into a new frame which cost 700 quid. having said that they do look gorgeous! but as for power -- the macro wins for me. ive seen a few tumbles on the macro ( including one of my own ) and they are bloody robust! my friend just sold his bailey on paramotors uk after damaging the frame twice - 1500 quids worth! - he just couldnt afford to keep up the sport.
  19. hi guys, the guy selling the above ( Nathan ) is a friend of mine, and i can 100% unequivically vouch for its genuine hours and condition, this machine is better than new! - its been checked, marked up ( nuts and bolts marked so you can see at a glance if they have moved ) and run in very carefully -- the guy is one of those "perfectionist" types, this machine will make someone very happy and as standard volutions are fething 3k - i think someone will get a bargain too! happy bidding! - or talk to the guy - he's very ameniable!
  20. just for the record, my wing is a brand new revo size 30. it came with the tip steerers already fitted, and my problem was partly my fault as ( not being familiar with the wing ) i assumed that the knots were meant to be slip knots where the tst meets the main line ( the only red one on the mallion ) my knot must have slid down without me seeing it giving extra slack to it - resulting in it entering the prop. i have reported it to paramania france today and they are sending me new ones - small consolation i suppose! for the record also my wing didnt come with a manual and the one thats downloadable from the site doesnt show the tst lines. or... any diagram for tying the knot - i have asked for this diagram to be sent to me. but im not too confident as the language barrier was quite high, exuse moi, mon francais et tres petitte! does anyone have a picture / instruction on a "proper" knot to secure the tst in place? - and am i correct in assuming that it needs to be stretched fully at the point where it attaches? thanks all -- glad to have started a debate!! makes for interesting reading! ps -- next mod -- cage netting -- anyone recommend a supplier of orange mesh?
  21. ah i think my poor knowledge of the wing / theory let me down here, my tst line where it meets the redd tip line has always been loose from new ( wing only been out the bag for an hour!, and as such i thought it was meant to travel up and down the line ie. loose knot! i think il remove it for a couple of flights to remove the margin for mistake -- after that i'l lay the lines on the floor tight and tie the knot tight on full extension of the tst line. im yet again enlightened!. thanks simon.
  22. when i say under instruction, i mean my bud was guiding me! -- it was definatly a pre flight check error by me one which i wont be missing again!, you say they are adjustable as per the tip to tip, can you elaborate here as where they attach to the red line it is a sliding connection ie. it moves up and down the line automatically, its not like you can adjust it before flight to a fixed position? or am i being stupid.... again!
  23. hi all, i luckily escaped a severe situation today when during launch my wing tip steerer became detached from its velcro mount and got sucked into the prop on my parajet macro. luckily i was under radio supervision and my guide heard / saw it go in and instructed me to abort launch steps away from take off... its seems im not destined to goa irborne just yet! my question is.... am i correct in assuming its a wing tip steerer - revolution 30 wing... its a green line with a velcro pad attached to the risers which extends to one of the main lines but its not fixed... its slides up and down the line. and furthermore -- as a beginner do i need it? -- i took the other one off for now - but havent flown, when the wing is on full trim do i need these to steer? my friend says the brakes go "rock hard" on full trim and hard to use?? thanks all.hope you can help! --- oh, and any suggestions on where to get a replacement quickly?
