  3. hi meds, please pm me your company details, i have 10 3 bed 3 storey town houses for you to consider - bread and butter stuff - new build. - newcastle under lyme. also currently tendering 2 large self builds - one of which with underfloor heating and ground source heat pumps if this is of interest. the town houses are very much a live project - the self builds are still on the operating table!
  4. hi outkast, our windows are supplied and fixed - mastic by installers. and as for internal sanitaryware etc, our joiners do that one -- used to use CJ sealants from crewe in the good old days of timber windows but that died with the popularity of PVCu. plus, the new build side of things is a little quiet to say the least.. but thanks for the enquiry il keep you in mind.. unless you refer to supply of materials?
  5. after being an absolute muppet, feeling light on my feet and then jumping into my seat prematurely i have managed to obliterate my wooden prop and bent some metal! i have a carbon one but loathed to fit it due to my inexperience, so does anyone have a wooden one they care to sell? i can fit it when my new chassis arrives! - 18stone, one macro plus one farmers field = bent metal!
  6. hello, im a member of many forums have have seen the following work well in the past and in the current climate it would be a good idead to all club together and if possible help eachother. a section where members offer their services or their company services or post wants for services - its upto individuls whether they offer member discounts and of course being a member doesnt get you the work - you still gotta be reliable and competitive!. so... if its of interest i can offer 2 services: 1) i am director of a modest NHBC and LABC award winning construction company with a quantity surveying background that specialises in Self Builds, extensions ( preferably large and obvioulsy location dependant) , project management and for investor clients - small site ( upto 20 units ) residential developments. 2) I am also Director of a kitchen studio ( managed by my wife ) that specialises in German Kitchens by RWK, and Crown Imperial Kitchens, we also have contract ranges in both english and german to suit all budgets. we are also agents for Miele, Siemens, Fagor and all other major brands. I am Looking for the following service at present - Printer to print 2500 letterheads, comp slips and maybe envelopes - also business cards may be required. If i can be of service or vice versa then please feel free to contact me via Pm and i will give my direct numbers. thanks.
  7. thats fantastic fellas, great explanation and now i understand it. i have read my pressure for shawbury from on this site as 1035 hpa ( il be near to there) -- set that into the settings for A1 and now have my reading above sea. got it! thanks v much.
  8. ahhh, the fog is beginning to lift! - thanks phil, so.... using A2 - i climb the top of a 500ft hill, zero the display and then fly 500ft higher my display will obviously read 500ft - which is probably the one il be using most for take of and landings using A1 - if i climb to the top of a 1000ft hill and alter the display to read zero will it then compensate and show me the true reading above sea level at the standard mb setting? A2 is clear -- its the A1 setting that im getting confused on!
  9. hi all, helo me out here!!! i have the above and am a bit confused ( easy done! ) A1 represents altitude abive sea level - A2 is zeroable to your take off point. trouble is -- on A1 ( without being in any sort of settings menu ) i can just press the up or own button ( marker and mcready) to alter the altitude to whatever i want - therefore not showing true sea level??? is this normal?? or am i being thick?
  10. anyone up for this course?, or is there one coming up soon?
  11. helloooooo again, lucky me off to puerta pollensa on saturday... can anyone recommend any schools offering lessons / hire in majorca? cheers.
  12. thanks francis -- my mailons are being nipped up with a spanner as we speak! my mailons are rated at 450kg ( i think 6mm ) as provided by this kit http://www.northern-paragliding.com/online-shop/reserves/reserve-accessories/reserve-attachment-maillon-bridle-kit.html?flypage=shop.flypage- is this strong enough as my all up weight is around 165kg and wonder about the jerk upon deployment causing excessve loading? - oh, i didnt use the bridles in the end - i got some stronger ones from pete may - thanks pete.!
  13. hi all.... again!!. thanks for the great advice on trim settings for take off, well and truly digested! in respect of landing - apart from the obvious of landing into wind etc do you have any landing tips for the revo? i understand the wing is quite fast - is it possible to apply a % of brake to slow you down on approach? or do you run the risk of a stall? or if you feel your landing is too fast can you apply a bit of power and brake to steady your approach? sorry for what may seem trivial questions but i have said previously, for me the theory is 75% of the job and understanding that will make the practice so much easier. i said that to my guitar tutor too -- how wrong i was with that! E A D G B E has stuck tho!
  14. Hey all, forgive me if this has been covered before. is anyone able to post a picture of how they have routed their bridals - preferably on a parajet. i have done it by attaching to harness at the high level entries, used the velcro strap on the harness ( back of the head ) to attach there, then used the velcro strap on the bridle line sleeve and attached this to the upper section of my frame ( not cage ) , this forms a nice V shape behind my head then the bridals run down to my left and connect into my supair container on the left side ( my chosen deployment side ) does this sound correct?
  15. LANDINGS..... well there's a whole new thread coming for those!!
  16. i have to admit that im developing that fear -- i havent tried too many times yet -- but when there is nil wind im reluctant to have a go.... so are you saying that you now kind of release pressure on the A's once above the head and just use the risers to "push" the wing? i understand that the revo is reluctant to fly forward of your head hence (unlike in a hill flyer) you dont need to brake the wing once it reaches overhead position - is this true? i really appreciate the advice folks - for me im a logic guy and once i understand the theory i "usually" find the practice easier... fingers crossed!!!
  17. thanks for all the advice guys... you can always rely on francis for an informative essay!! and if that was a nil wind day on the vid their wind sock has been starched! thanks again -- waiting for a gap in the rain to give it a go!!
  18. i was told to introduce the power once the wing has exceeded 45degrees on the way up, it works for my buds!..
  19. thanks for the advice so far guys.. thats what i like about forums!
  20. not on paramotorsuk its not! its karls -- and its blue and black! but good luck anyway!
  21. it is a medium bud... keep trying him - he could be at work and in his job it may be awkward to answer. in my opinion (knowing what i know) the ebay seller did you a favour. good luck.
  22. as a beginner with a new revo 30 im looking for advice on trim settings... i know on take off and landings to keep on slow, but as a beginner and understanding also that these wings are more stable on fast trim - should i go to fast once airborne, or keep to slow despite being less stable? dilema!!!
  23. im not going to comment on your experience with this seller, but that statement in itself should be enough. if that is the wing yo are after i can vouch for this one personally as its a flying acquantance selling it. and i know he is a honest guy too. as listed on paramotorsuk.
