  1. Will do just haven't had the time or the weather. If Parajet can sort the other problems by next weekend I will come down Saturday weather depending Thanks gaz
  2. Will do. Due to a few failed launches it had been running fine for a while and I had kept blipping the throttle to clear out any build up of fuel/ oil and it gave full power on take off. Any idea what was adjusted ?
  3. Went up yesterday after finally doing a forward I. My field horray!! Only for the engine to die on me at about 200 ft. Restarted but died again ended up having a heavy landing in a nearby field hurting my knee( twisted slightly but ok ) Parajet will be getting my motor back on Wednesday to try and find out why it died after only a few hours flying. The pull start is also playing up and not always engaging the starter so that also needs sorting. Hope to be back in the air soon.
  4. Just checking, do you mean wrapping the brake line around your hand once to shorten the brake line ? I have problems as I seem to come in so fast and can never get the flair right. Thanks gaz
  5. I'm interested [sMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]
  6. George I had noticed that there was quite a bit of oil on the prop so thinking it could be the 2stroke oil, I bought some new 2stroke oil and fuel cleaned the old plug (glass bead blasted it) put it back in and ran the engine up for 5 mins to clear out the carb, still got a bit of oil on prop, cleaned it off ran again for 5 mins and didn't notice any more oil on it. Hopefully this may have cured it. It was too misty for a fly but will try on next good day. Gaz
  7. George 1966 how did you get on after talking to Parajet?
  8. Going to try some different 2stroke oil the one I have been using is a few years old, not that it should make any difference it's been fine in my strimmer. Thanks for comments. Gaz
  9. Hi Simon Same issue I think although the instance you talk of is not the one, RAF Colin lent me a plug and it worked ok, have been up twice more since then with the new plug with no real problems. PS. Reserve ?
  10. Gap looks same as new one but have noticed carbon build up around the plug lead end. Plug also looks fairly black but thought this may be due to flooding after it stopped and I tried starting again
  11. Should have said its a new V3 Parajet with the 190 Thor light pull start.
  12. Has anyone had the problem of spark plugs stopping working ? The 1st one was only 2 hrs old, having warmed the engine up for a couple of mins it just died, looked at everything as not getting a spark then Colin lent me a used plug and it worked perfectly!! Bought a couple of iridium plugs and had no problem on last 2 flights totalling a couple of hours. Today warmed up engine for 3-4 mins got hooked in, re-started but not getting full power on run with wing overhead so aborted take off. Tried to re-start but no joy. Back at base put in a new plug and it fired up 1st pull and would give full power!! Any ideas on how a plug could get knackered after just 2 hrs flying? Thanks Gary
  13. I looked at these and they look good. Did you get the radio with it ?
  14. I bought one in July and have been very pleased with it so far, its got the Thor 190 Light clutch, loads of power and strong frame, packs up really small as the frame is in 4 bits. It uses about 4 ltrs per hour cruising at 25-30 mph with my Dudeck Synth wing. Gaz
  15. Got something on now but would like to do it another time.
  16. Any more thoughts on this for next weekend ? I will come if it's on. Gaz
  17. Just bought this Blue Sky Blue suit at the flying show in Telford. It has the clear pockets on the thigh area for instruments etc. got a deal at £140 & it matches my Paramotor & wing [sMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]
  18. Great ! hope to come down for a go then [sMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]
  19. Is flying back on again at Membury on Sunday's then ?
  20. Hi typhoonib I have use of a field in Abbotsley but it's not perfect so need another launch site as the grass is a bit long at it's in a bit of a dip. PM me so we can have a chat sometime. Gary
  21. Hi Guys I am still a beginner at Paramotoring and SW is training me. I have done a couple of flights down at Membury, the last one without radio and all launched on my own I hope to do a few solos to get some more experience launching and landing locally before going back to Simon for more advanced techniques. I live near Sandy so can travel to you if you don't mind having a novice flying with you ? Thanks Gary
