  1. Mark Great advice thanks. I certainly don't want to poop on anyone else's patch. I'll have a chat with you before hand. Ad Sent from Dorset on my iPad probably whilst drinking wine, lying in the sofa using PMC Forum mobile app
  2. I'm taking the camper down to Chidham opposite Bosham next weekend and negotiations are going well with Mrs E for taking my flying machine along. I'll probably fly from the campsite. Anyone else fly around that area? Sent from Dorset on my iPad probably whilst drinking wine, lying in the sofa using PMC Forum mobile app
  3. Remember the CANP system is only for low level fast traffic and does not cover slow movers such as helicopters that are below 140kts IIRC. The booking system can be shaky. I once got snotty snotty call from a corporal informing me that my booking didn't give the required 4hrs notice and wouldn't be actioned. In fact it had been sat unnoticed on their fax machine for 24hrs! The email address for CANP has changed at least 3 times in as many years. If you don't get a call back with a booking number then you're not in the system. The system defenitely works once the booking is in and I would certainly use it when flying in any of the low level routes. Ad
  4. Good stuff! The more Revo 2's flying in Dorset the better
  5. Awesome! Of course you mean magnetic deviation.
  6. Time to turn this into a 'post pics of your paramotor camper' thread.... Sent from Dorset on my iPad probably whilst drinking wine, lying in the sofa using PMC Forum mobile app

  9. Tom Put the lager in a sports bag and pick it up in flight. Sent from Dorset on my iPad probably whilst drinking wine, lying in the sofa using PMC Forum mobile app
  10. Revo 1 here too for my trike (30m) Sent from Dorset on my iPad probably whilst drinking wine, lying in the sofa using PMC Forum mobile app
  11. Great news, whst size is the Revo?
  12. Giles, I put 300kg for my trike, which I think is the max MTOW for SSDR's. it's really up to you as the design authority! For the A assists, use brummel hooks on short strings pulling on the speedbar line. Have them long enough to go slack as the A riser reaches vertical. Ad
  13. Direct Plastics Online are good for nylon. Looking great! Sent from Dorset on my iPad probably whilst drinking wine, lying in the sofa using PMC Forum mobile app
  14. Looks great! Get yourself a decent registration number.
  15. Thanks Pat. I think that's a first for the UK. The CAA were cautious about allowing ballistic chutes because they feared that pilots might be encouraged to take risks or when a bit panicked pull the handle, and end up in people's err.. back yards. Let's hope this one was a lifesaver. Sent from Dorset on my iPad probably whilst drinking wine, lying in the sofa using PMC Forum mobile app
  16. We cannot tolerate such muppetry.
  17. I agree Pat, unless you're flying an aircraft with an accurate, stable heading reference the wind triangle is somewhat Sent from Dorset on my iPad probably whilst drinking wine, lying in the sofa using PMC Forum mobile app
  18. Pat, you have the definitions of course and heading the wrong way round. (just to prove I was paying attention). Great blog, love it. Sent from Dorset on my iPad probably whilst drinking wine, lying in the sofa using PMC Forum mobile app
  19. Legality is probably down tom any local byelaws if there are any applicable. There's certainly no blanket ban on such activity and after all a sports ground is for sports! Having said that I think sticking to quiet times is sensible. I have the village cricket pitch next to my house and sometimes use it to fly RC models but only if it's quiet. I do plan to land or take off from there occasionally but only when I know I won't cause a fuss. 20. Have you not been to Doeset Pete?
