  1. https://www.sportscoverdirect.com/actio ... portid=123 Have look at this. I use it in conjunction with On Risk. It is Group 4. Maybe of some use. Kev
  2. Don't know but it looks like a needle roller bearing to me. If you are running with an air filter it is impossib le to get anything in there. Kev
  3. It really does not matter what brand of wing you fly. With the modern technology of today's wings, they are as good as each other. Whatever kit you have got is the right kit for you. Just enjoy! Kev
  4. Check out this web site, especially if you are on a budget. http://www.prop.se/PARAMOTOR-sidor/andr ... ex_en.html Kits and package deals at realistic prices. No I don't work for them or am associated in any other way with them, but I'm always on the look out for value for money. Just thought I would pass it on. Bendme
  5. Don't think they have to chase us Phil, not in this neck of the woods anyway. The Police chopper has circled the Measham field, also did the same when I was flying out of a Nottinghamshire field, no doubt 'clocking' the location. I feel any complaint in the area, they know exactly where to come. Probably be there before you have even got back to he field. Bendme
  6. Flying over towns etc. An aircraft flying over a congested area of a city, town or settlement shall not fly below a height of 1000 feet above the highest fixed object within a horizontal radius of 600 metres AND at sufficient height to safely land clear of the congested area in the event of a power failure (whichever is the higher). Congested area means an area of a city, town or settlement which is substantially used for residential, industrial, commercial or recreational purposes. An aircraft shall not carry out any aerobatic manoeuvre over the congested area of any city, town or settlement
  7. Phil, hope you are still in good spirits. At least no bodily damage. Pretty impressed with the cross wind inflation and control, would have been a corking take off had it not been for the ditch. Thanks for sharing. Safe flying Bendme
  8. Just upload on You Tube. Shows Phil P having a slight accident with his Bailey. Keep smiling Phil! Bendme
  9. Good video. Nice one. Sorry to hear about Pete, hope he mends soon. Cheers Bendme
  10. Thanks for that Simon. We will certainly let you know first which ever way. Cheers Kev
  11. A couple of members from EMPC and myself will be down your neck of the wood on the weekend 16th May, flying the White Horse area, weather permitting. Would it be OK if we dropped in on you to say hello? Cheers Bendme
  12. Thanks for showing the video. Enjoyment is the spirit of this sport and I hope that comes across. Safe flying in 2009. Cheers Bendme
  13. Have been repairing CB radios for the farmers around here for the last five years. So now it's time to call in the favours. A couple of phone calls later we now have a choice of fields in the Charnwood Forest area. That puts the Black Hawks in striking distance of the Vale of Belvoir. Here's an idea. What about all of us putting some ideas down about where we would like to fly in the summer(that is supposing we HAVE a summer this year) Cheers Bendme
  14. Fantastic news about the new flying sites, especially the one near Gretna. We could possibly fly a section of Hadrian's Wall from there. This is going to be one hell of a summer. I'm OK for chipping in with the gazebo. Bendme
  15. Well thanks guys. Another fantastic weekend. My first xc - awesome. Downloaded some photos on http://s227.photobucket.com/albums/dd1/ ... dthehedge/. Well done John. Fantastic effort mate. The next photos will be of you in the air! I would just like to say a personal thankyou to you Simon. Without your encouragement I would still be on the ground. I have got to know you quite well over the weeks and you are a genuine rare breed. You give your time and expertise unstinitingly without asking for any more thanks than that someone else ends up loving the sport as much as you do. Thanks mate. Bendme
  16. Interesting idea regarding tasks and badges. I for one like to keep things simple. Meet with like minded people, have a buzz round, then a laugh and a beer afterwards. However, there are those that would like to take part in acheivement tasks and that is ok too. But............badges and status create peacocks. Peacocks create attitude and attitude could be the undoing of the very nature of this club as it stands today. I would not like to see that happen as this club is free from the starch and hierarchy evident in so many other organisations, and that is what makes it so attractive to the grass roots members. Bendme
  17. Sounds like a fantastic idea. I think the Black Hawks need a meeting to discuss it. I'm willing to help out as much as possible, even 'er indoors has offered her services if needed. See what the rest of the guys think. Bendme
  18. Count me in for the Sunday. Can't get time off mid-week. Probably just as well. My legs feel like lumps of lead. Bendme
  19. At the moment I think it's bruised bol***ks. Not quite mastered the art of getting the undercarriage down for landing. Bendme
  20. Too many photos to upload here, but check out the link below (slideshow is good). Enjoy http://s227.photobucket.com/albums/dd1/ ... dthehedge/ Bendme

I think I am well and truly hooked now. Here's to the next time!!!!!!!!!! Simon, that new black wing is the dogs danglies. Absolutely awesome. Cheers Bendme
