  1. Nice one Stuart, Been using mine for 10 months now. Nice bit of kit with(as you say) no more petrol smells in the car. You can cruise at motorway speeds with no problem at all. I found mine seemed to travel better with the prop facing the car. The only other other thing I did was put a bungee cord to stop the prop rotating at speed. Remeber to add your number plate to the rack as the rig obscures the car plates. You can see the rear car lights through the cage so no problem there. Nothing to stop you doing the whole electrical jobbie if you want though. Bendme
  2. I am always messing about with something, so why should the paramotor escape? Bendme
  3. Hi Simon, Will be able to come along on 12th. It will be a bit of a flying visit though as I have to be somewhere else for eight and have re-arranged it for half past. I am absolutely determined to come down and meet you all, hence the re-arrangement. See you all at seven next Wednesday. Cheers Bendme.
  4. Glad to see you have joined in on the forum scene. I have not deserted you, will still come up when the weather is right again! Got my new (large) harness on. A lot more comfortable. Be in touch soon Cheers Bendme
  5. The first meeting.............and I can't make it! Humbug!!!! But please keep me informed of any future meets. I am desperate to get back in the air. The flaming weather this year has not helped a bit and I am planning on going on the Italy trip. I'd like to join you guys as it is on my doorstep so to speak. At the moment I am going to Paddy's ( Derbyshire Branch), nice bunch of guys, but will be much easier for me to fly from your field. We could maybe fly up to Paddy's one day and all meet up. Please let me know your next get together. It's been awhile since I was in The Plough! Ashby used to be my hunting ground (too many years ago to number!) Cheers Bendme
  6. Hi, Just like to introduce myself. I am in the process of joining the new Leicestershire Branch and hope to get a lot more flying hours in. Am already a member of the Derbyshire Branch which have just joined(Paddy's)who taught me to fly initially. Very nice guy. Let's hope we have better weather next year so I can get my hours up 'cos I really want to go to Italy. Bendme
  7. Had these sent to me from Loughborough University. They are fantastic. The hurricane one is supposd to be hurricane Dean. No paramotors that far up! http://www.texasjim.com/NASApix/NASA%20pix.htm enjoy, Bendme
  8. Hi Simon, Nice talking to you, just posted my enquiry to the Leicestershire branch. Should be all systems go to get some air time in before the trip. Thanks Kev
  9. Hi, I was that guy talking to Simon a short while ago. Very interested in joining you as I live in Loughborough and don't know anyone else around here that flys or has fields to fly from! Thanks to this site, that looks about to change. So how do I go about meeting up/ joining etc? I have a ParAAvis wing( not jet black) and a Vittorazi Easy 100 motor. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Kev
