    Could be air leak on intake side, crank seals worn, allowing air in. Shaking of the float bowl carbs causes the fuel to aerate (foam)in the bowl and cause erratic running. Usually spluttering, missing etc. My money is on air leak somewhere.....

    Hi Pete, welcome aboard! A lot of the guys on the Polini owners page do use the EGT, CHT gauges. Most are running he Supa Tuna gubbins I think?

    Simon, over on the RGV Forum. One of the guys filled his wife TZR with one the batches. He has contacted Castrol technical, and they are paying for the entire system to be drained and flushed by the local dealer! Now that is bloody good service.

    Gordon, there was a posting somewhere on the 'net about this exact procedure. Might be on one of the yankee forums. It could be done, but I think they are gell filled, and you need to be careful of wires etc! Might be best to just buy a new unit......

    Looks like manually updating the firmware is the way to avoid the 'freezing' issues!
