  1. Having learnt forwards on a rad mxl ive relied on technique instead of power! but i will have a go at the power launch on the next nil wind not a sausage day. Its good hearing all the different methods that are used, different strokes for different blokes i guess!(no matter how many hours) Cheers
  2. Hi Guys On a complete not a sausage nil wind forward would it be better to have the revolution trims full in or out 1" (recomended take off position)? Cheers
  3. Well i was up,but maybe too late, by the time i was set up (about 7am)the wind was gusting! not too much maybe up to 5-12mph but too much for me! Anyone else managed to get out over the weekend so far?
  4. Hi Guys Anyone keen for an early or evening flight in the south essex area? Weather looks good so far. Matt 07930406652

    Result!

Simon and me were just about to go up monday evening from a farmers field when a pro photographer turned up and wanted to take a few snaps. I told him to meet us at castle near by and this is what he took http://www.oneclickbeyond.co.uk.
  9. Just wondered what is your best conditions to fly in- Dawn,Dusk and preffered wind speed, the wind here over the last couple of days has been around 10-15mph which is a bit too windy for me at the moment.
  10. Funny that! I was flying over the seals on sunday and looked towards the land and saw you driving down grand drive and thought to myself Unlucky!!!!! Dont worry You'll be flying soon!
  11. I took delivery of my Rev 24 nearly 3 weeks ago and the day i got it it hasnt stopped raining! I managed to squeeze some ground handling in between rain clouds and atlast Friday was looking good and someone just had to have an unfinished job! After all the waiting and reading and asking numerous questions that have probably been asked to you guys thousands of times i eventually took off with trimmers on take off setting and i was up with little effort with a little tickle on the brakes! In the air the wing was so stable and responsive and so much faster than my previous wing that i gained more confidence in a short time and was carving around effortless. I have only been flying for a short while but already feel the kit i have now has taking me to the next level fast and with confidence. Learning on Rad Mxl and Arcus Swing was a good move for me being only 5.5 and 62kgs it was a good introduction being so light and i could have stayed with it for a long time but i wanted to fly faster and go places with a some xc in there somewhere. I just cant wait for the next flight! Cheers guys for all your replies and thanks Vince for the wing and your advice. Anyone thinking of a reflex wing break the bank and get one you wont regret it!
  12. Hi Guys Which is the best download available for xc for the summit hc, i have a laminated air map so just wanted to use it to see detail around clearly as it comes with real basic settings.

Hi Is there or will there be a throw and repack on a wire in the essex area or near as, in the coming future? And when is the rain gonna stop, i forgot how to do it its been so long!
  14. No worries Clive, A guy i know flies from there and he was going to introduce us prior to coming down when the weather is better. I have been told its a bit limited down there aswell. Speak soon.
  15. Hopefully not kitesurfing weather! i havent used my wing yet. Thanks again for the Revolution and the induction Vince so much more confident now i have my head round it!
  16. There was a few people milling around there and i just moved on to not cause no trouble for the future. I guess we have to be sensible with that site as there is quite a few members of public there walking there dogs and bike riding and stuff. I havent flown from Canewdon yet but it seems a good set up with a locked gate with combination so your vehicle is safe when your gone. Its pretty central with the river crouch on one side and loads of fields and open areas. Typical two days of work, new wing but too windy!
  17. Name- Matt K Area- Wallasea island (northerly wind) Couple more, but i forgot the name of them! Back - Pap top 80 1250 Sack- Revolution 24 (blue peach) Crack- self employed so always ready to drop it all and fly! Cant wait to all meet up!
  18. Hi Guys Over two tree island yestreday and was moved on by police as residents were complaining about walking there dogs and the noise, i guess it was coming. Looks like Canewdon for take offs from now, its a locked gate with a code so your van is safe and no one around. With expansion of Southend airport in the paper yesterday i think the area will be out of bounds anyway soon. Well it was good while it lasted! Watch out Si im coming to get ya,my gonads are getting bigger! (that sounded a bit wrong)
  19. Hi Guys Thanks for the info. sorted. regards
