  1. Is it me or does there seem to be less flying days this summer with it being breezy? I got into Paramotoring late summer last year so have no comparison but i seemed to get up more in the autumn to spring with lighter winds all the time and no thermals.

  5. Great pictures! Gotta say im a bit jealous!, got out this morning at about the same time but a bit too gusty so took my sorry ass home.
  6. When my reserve was due to be repacked i deployed it in a field with winds around 10mph and it opened in about five seconds, If you needed to throw it in a situation im sure the wind speed would be greater than that reducing the inflation time.
  7. I never used a reserve on my first few flights, like someone quoted there is too much to think about, but now i fly with one all the time. Its heavier and hopefully a complete waste of money.! Its better to be safe than sorry.
  8. Hi guys Maybe a silly question but when the revolution is set in slow mode why is it recomended by the manufacturer not to apply speed bar? The reason i ask, i thought the slow mode is similar to paraglider mode and you can apply speed bar to paragliders.

Had a great flight this morning with Simon101 hugging the coast in essex with nil winds, it was one of the most enjoyable flights i have had just carving around in the smoothest of air with not a bump around. Further along the coast we ventured over fields only a mile or so in and the difference was unbeleivable, i was getting banged and bumped all over the place and i headed back as fast as i could to smoother air. It was still relatively early (9.30am) and surprised thermals would be that strong so early. Does anyone like flying in bumpy stuff? im sticking to earlier mornings and later evenings!

  12. Hi Poz I have seen a clip on you tube-" paramotor flying in dubai (national day) " there method seems to be the safest. I see a clip of a guy running to take off with it attached to his leg, big no no i guess, that catches on something your going over the bars!
  13. Hi Guys If i needed to restart my pap in the air is the foot stirup the best way? I have read that some can start over the shoulder but does that mean changing the pulley location? Still waiting for wind to die down for me in essex!

  18. Just back from gorge walking through the Brecons, looks like a fantastic for flying, has anyone flown round the area before?
  19. A cobra launch is similar to a kite surf launch with the wing at the edge of wind window, its started upside down with one tip going up vertical like a snake if that makes sense! I think i will stick to light winds!
  20. I can do a cobra launch but only due to previous kite/windsurf experience so im ok with strong winds, but just not up there!

Hi Luke I have only 9hrs and never tried a full on power launch,i sometimes give a little blip to help the wing up when its has gone passed the motors thrust, given the right conditions i will give it a try, but my question was really the best recomended trim settings on a revolution on a nil wind day, I have had a few nil wind take offs since i have asked the question and found the wing does seem to come up quicker in take off position (1") Thanks for the help guys its been useful.
