  1. The new PAP trike - who can speak to this as I wait for mine to arrive?
  2. September, November if we're lucky
  3. this thread has me wondering if I understood MCJ correctly when he explained to me the brake handle adjustment on the new Revo2...where the older Revolution, Fusion and GT had (my understanding only) to be adjusted based at fast trim and a bit of slack before the brakes start to deform the trailing edge is different from the REVO2 in that the new slider accounts for the older way of changing brake line lengths. Garbled I know but the gist of it (and I will address this in question format) When you change from low hang point to high hangpoint configuration, is there any need to adjust brake handle line length on the REVO2 - or is the difference accounted for in the new slider?...or put another way does the new slider move with the C's and D's in a way which negates any re-tie of brake handles when switching from a low hangpoint machine to a high one? and is the wingtip the place to look for slack adjustment Having said all that, I flew a REVO 2 at Beach Blast and confirm the brake handles were in excess of 20cm too long. Advocate of dealer inspection on all new wings going out, Marko
  4. hey George with your experience I would be surprised if you're not motoring solo on the second day of training (especially with the competent bunch around you). Our free flight guys are buying motors in numbers (here in Canada) and getting the airtime they need rather than driving and parawaiting. I don't think the motor will ever replace the serenity of quiet flight, but you get your airtime and can always motor to the ridge or go up high and shut her off - pull out the ear defenders and listen to the wind change with your turns. Wing - reflex fan only for moi. motor up, Marko
  5. Only once in 9 years, after 3 touch & go's I lost power at 10' and landed without incident. The GA pilot on the scene explained that my circuits at low revs were the culprit. I was flying a slide carb (bing) which is more susceptible to icing than a cv?? Dew point is the concern http://www.weatherquestions.com/What_is ... rature.htm and possibly more frequent in summer than mine which was slightly below freezing weather. "Dew point " in below freezing temps is also called "frost point" http://amsglossary.allenpress.com/gloss ... =dewpoint1 dew the dew, Ciao Marko D p.s. http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/w ... a00140.htm p.p.s.
  6. We back those who impress us. Today the nuke review by Dell, on his tooth group "Whoever designed the risers should be beaten to death." "After a couple runs I couldn't take the nightmare anymore and landed the pig nightmare of death." Yeah he's a captain all right, why did I post this, damn I hate myself sometimes.
  7. Here is the designer and master builder, I have an F-200 and can vouch for the strength and beauty of this machine. http://www.walkerjet.cz/uk/index.html Support Viktor, Marko D
  8. Vertical climb test with a PPC, perhaps unintentional but thanks to the bloke for the lesson on climb rate. I had to see that to believe it. Ciao, Marko
  9. Garyfreefly et al: that question haunted us for a while as the power is robust - but it was not bad like my dream. On the flip side of too much power is the thing cruises on idle and just above. Superdangawesome machine, wish I had one. Marko
  10. Brilliant, please do not place your reserve in front of the radiator or you may see the red light blinking. Nice of you to treat yourself to a Rotron. Mark
  11. 1. Composite leading edge (like the Fusion) and http://flyparamania.com/index.php?optio ... 15〈=en Marko
  12. ...dropped mine on take off, it opened from the ground and went up (a bit). Was pleased to see it work so well in the wrong situation, that is some kind of air brake. Marko D
  13. Canadian props at http://www.helicepropulsion.com/topic1/index.html only 175 CAN plus shipping & your duty may kill the deal tho... Marko
  14. Thanks for the in depth explanation. Other wing manufacturers use a similar steering on reflex wings is this a reasonable statement? The Paramania is not compromisiing reflex with steering at the fastest speeds and someone said this ALC steering does not take the reflex away but this sounds questionable to my unexperienced ear...how do you get to keep the cake and eat it too. Performance - Stability we want them both.
  15. Yes I am very fond of the ALC steering and also the TST setup, and the pilots who dare to experiment. Being a bit of a follower, I normally consider any mods should be made by the manufacturer when it comes to wings, we will see if the Prussic knot goes from the factory issue. Kudos to Dudek for implementing the ALC and more Kudos to Mr Carnet for breaking the ice. The knot scares me that's all, same for brake handles through a non-netted cage...the smallish risk need NOT be there. Scaredicat, Marko D
