  1. I just found out my job is sending me over there for 2 weeks and just wondering if there are any shops around there. I'm still in the looking phase as I haven't gathered enough money up yet, Or anywhere close that might do a tandem flight. Thanks for any info.
  2. I wouldn't buy one just for the fact, that I went down to North Carolina this last weekend, and found out that Super dell had just been banned because he would not follow any of the rules. He is the reason we lose flying sights. I couldn't support him no matter how good or bad his machines are. I don't own a machine yet I'm in the process of buying. But please don't support this guy, we lost being able to fly the beaches because of him.
  3. So what it's sounding like is if you use your power smart it shouldn't be a problem, and don't get to large of wing that will drag behind, I have heard it is better to overload a wing then under load, there reccomendations are to get a wing that your weight is at the top range of that wing with out the motor then when you add the motor you should be just about right. Does this sound correct, also will the smaller prop make that muc difference, or should I just leave the larger prop on and just have my wife learn to use the throttle control correctly. Hey thanks for all the feedback.
  4. Well I just telling you what the web site says the model is a 122 and it says simonini 210 putting out 24 horse at 6200 rpm. If you want to check it out its the flight Junckies web site, I'm new to this so I do't know the particulars to each engine thats why I'm trying ot learn . But if you have any info that would be great.
  5. I've narrowed it down to the freshbreeze now I'm trying to decide which engine. I'm looking for something my wife and I can share, till we can afford another one,I know I might have to get a different wing I weigh 88 kilos and the wife weighs 76 the dealer I'm going with reccomended the Simonini 210 with the 48 in cage and instead of putting the 48 in prop put the 44 in on so it doesn't torque her to bad, the reason for a big engine is we might fly at high elevations and I might add a trike later. does this sound like a good reccomendation. Any thoughts would be great is the a single wing that would work for both of us, he recommended the Edel power atlas in a Med. Thanks Nate.
  6. Heres another question how does power compare to elevation, say I buy a motor that is rated for a guy that is 220pnds and I try to lauch from a elevation of 7-10 thousand feet. I might move to around Denver Colorado. Will I need more motor? Yep totally agree I think you get what you pay for. So I think I have narrowed it down to the Freshbreeze, they seem to have awesome features like the bing carburator, in my line of work simple usaully works better, being able to jettison the motor, and the company has been around for ever.theres a guy here in the US that if you order from him he will personelly deliver and set up the unit, and train you for free. Sounds too good but will see.
  7. Ya thats kinda what I was worried about, because what I have read there motors are just copies made in China. So what would you reccomend? I've kinda narrowed to the Parajet, the Freshbreeze, the Kobra, and the Flat top, I just have to figure out which ones are the most dependable, safest and easiest to get parts for on this side of the waters. I would also like it to be small enough for my wife to foot lauch and me at 90 kilos not to have to run a mile to get up. So it sound like a strong cage is good for a begginer like me.
  8. Hey I know this is a american brand but has anyone tried a Paratoys blackhawk paramotor? Its just they are so much cheaper then anything else I'm wondering if there's a big quality and reliability difference. Also I really like the look of the paraje tbut being new and not knowing a whole lot the cage looks like I could lose a finger in it, do they make one with netting? I already saw the post about flat top so I won't ask about that, but how do you guys like your freshbreezes.
  9. Hey everyone I'm across the pond here in Virginia USA, I've been trying to find good info on motors and training on sites here. But it just seems like they want to push there product and argue about who's motor is better, then I found this site and it has a totally different vibe. So my questions are what motors can you recommend, I know I can get fresh breeze, Paratoys blackhawk motors, Flat top motors here. This will be my first motor I'm 90 kilos. I'm looking for safety and reliability I would be willing to spend more for a better product. Thats why I'm kinda nervous about the paratoys. I know you guys can't help with training since I'm way over here. But any other info would be great. Also what would be a good beginner wing? Thanks
