  1. Hi Mark

Ditto to what Alan has said. There are a lot of people that drive with the use of only one eye and manage to deal with the lack of depth perception although I am not sure how! (although I am not a doctor and others may have more info)

The Oxford PMC is based around the Thame area and if you want to give me a call or PM me I will point you in the right direction for training etc.

There is a seperate Forum heading for the local clubs.

    Regards

    Eddie

  2. Thanks for the award Simon. Sorry I coudn't make it but was too ill to get there.

I am sure the other Oxford flyers appreciate it and all we have to do now is build a clubhouse to put it in!.

Congragulations to the other winners as well (all well deserved)

    See you soon

    Eddie

  3. Field was a bit waterlogged but not too bad as Tom, John, Fast Eddie, Big Simon and myself turned up eager to get in the air after this bad weather spell!

Most of us got in a couple of flights this afternoon and I had to go up to take photos as, apparently, they were compulsory for this weekend.

The GSC props on my PAP were set at 14.5 degrees pitch for the first test flight and it was 'spot on' so only too pleased to do a 'photo flight'.

  4. Simon

I will be there at 9.30am.

I will you send a phone text to the 'Shabbington flyers' late because I have a couple of people on my phone that you don't have.

See you Saturday with my flask. Stephen has a power supply in the barns now if you want to boil a kettle!

  5. Simons 'fix' is easy to check, just see which way the prop turns on the starter and by the pull start!.

I cannot help with Paramotor engines specifically but on cars I have had problems (in the old days!) Where the starter was pulling too much current and reducing the strength of the spark and so the only way to start the car would be to push it!

As you have 2 batteries, run the starter from a seperate battery and see if that leads us in the right direction.

  6. Hi Simon

When the weather allows I will be at the field to sort this out. I don't believe there is anything wrong with the motor and the only change has been to replace the prop so tend to think that Fanman has a good point!

I can only find out by test flying so I hope to sort this problem out when I get back in the air.

Hope to see you at the field soon and we can try a few things.

    See you soon

I tend to think that Fanman is correct on this matter.

I have a Black Devil and after a ground strike I replaced the prop and it runs up to nearly 8000rpm on the ground but 6700/6800 when flying!

The significance is that I have a variable pitch prop and I am having to test fly (when I can) to try and get the pitch correct.

I would appreciate any help on what pitch to try next, I am at 14.5 degrees at the moment!

I fly a Black Devil in a PAP1250. I can say that it is a popular choice of engine for Paramotoring.

It is a powerful engine and I have no problem with power even at 110kg.

I have had no problems, it starts every time, and spares from Corsair are easy to obtain.

You will find bad and good experiences with most of the motors used but, in my opinion, the Black devil is a good choice.

I can only speak from personal experience though which I find is the best way!

  9. Hi Andy

Please call me Eddie ( will have to change my signiture one day!)

The G2 is a better phone than the Iphone because you can make phone calls on it as well :D

It is also an android phone with all the Google apps built in.

Not sure if SW means the actual make of phone or if he means an android touch phone.
