Although he is too modest to say Pete B is your man for servicing, particularly the Simonini. Not sure where you are but if you can get it to Pete he will sort it out for you.

Blimey Pete that was a quick reply, you must be a bit quiet as well!!
Not sure what the forecast is for the weekend but I will pop down on Saturday if you are there.
Let me know.
Look forward to seeing you and the 'Membury mob'

Not too optimistic I know but I am getting my kit ready for the coming season and would like a spare prop for my PAP1250 'just in case'.
Do you need my old one as a pattern before I break it!!

Hi Stuart
Just got in from being away for a few days (work related) and noticed you looking to go down to Membury and was wondering if you are back in the air again yet, and how things are?
See you soon

Great idea Simon, I hope it all works out great.
Just the one question though: If someone books time with kit but the weather is rubbish do they still lose the points and, if so, should this fact be listed under the 'conditions'
Hope to see you soon

I agree with Dave with the place to start.
I have had cars that turned over ok but the starter drains a lot of power from the battery so they would start on a push.
Try another battery and if that doesn't work have the starter motor checked.
Lets keep this simple to start with!

Do we have a date for this event yet?

Been a bit busy lately, a bit of Paramotoring, track day at Snetterton, a weekend on a sailing yacht and a weeks 'effective management' course in the Lake district. I need to remember that I am getting old!
I am hoping to pop down and 'catch up' on Sunday if that is okay with you. Might get up early and fly in if forecast is okay.
See you soon

Can't remember if I hit the yes button or not but I will be there with my tenner.

Always cold at 20k but. like motorbiking, you just have to wear the correct gear.

Hi Welshy
Lots of horror stories about injuries in this post, enough to put anybody off!
I had exactly the same injury a few years ago after a hard landing when I was skydiving (broke the Fibula just above the ankle) the issue that I had at the start was that I was in the 'countryside' and the local hospital put me in plaster which wasn't very supportive so I went to a hospital in London.
The difference was that I was originally told to keep weight off it for 6 weeks but in London they put a fibre glass cast on and I walked out!
The damage to the ankle ligaments caused a lot more trouble than the break and after 6 weeks the bone had built up and was probably stronger than it was to start with!.
I think TJ is spot on and 3 months would be my estimate too.
Good luck with it and hope it all goes well

Hi Gordon
Had the same problem when I was skydiving.
My life insurance company wanted to increase my insurance premiums because I did more than 50 jumps a year (no increase at less than 50 jumps!)
I tried to explain that the more current you are the less risk involved as you are more 'switched on' to any problems and better able to deal with them than a less experienced skydiver but they wouldn't listen and I had to go elsewhere.
Makes you wonder where they get their info from!
Cheers

What is this idea that RC helicopter blades don't break when they hit the ground, mine always smash into matchwood!.
As the famous Chief engineer Montgomery Scott (Scotty from Star Trek) said 'you cannae change the Laws of Physics Richard X'

I have seen the damage those 'little electric helicopter' blades can do if it flies into you and it is not a pretty sight!
I agree that the physics dictate that the rotor blades on a '600' petrol helcoptor could be capable of very serious damage, even with hinged pivot points.
I certainly wouldn't stick my hands in the rotors!
