  1. Forgive me, but I'm a complete technophobe. I've just found he weekend beginning July 18th on a list of up/coming events on Facebook. Is that this years or did I miss it last year? No piss takers please! Thanks, Bullet x Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  2. Dam! I'm bloody working! Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  3. Looking forward to seeing it. Will it work ok on iPads? D Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  4. That would depend on prevailing conditions, wing / weight set up and distance obviously, but I guessing pretty high. Lol Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  5. I use a yeasau FT270 combined with a microavionics headset. The headset is fantastic and as long as you have good line of sight, coms between pilots in the air, the system works very well. Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  6. That'll be good. I'd love a V5 but being on the heavier side it's never had enough umph for me Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  7. That's great thanks mate. What about the thrust f& weight figures for the v5s yet? Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  8. Do we know final thrust figures and price yet? Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  9. We could club together and buy one! A little forum syndicate? Lol. You'll love it dude! I'm jealous! Ps, I still need to join your site properly but don't have easy access to a PC. Can we pay via the iPad app? Or any other way? Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  10. I did my PPL (H) years ago but alas had to give it up as I couldn't afford to keep it up If I ever am rich again, it's number one on my list of things to do! It's fabulous! Though I have to say, it's still not as exhilarating as Paramotoring! (With the possible exception of a 'power off / autorotation' landing! - have spare pants ready!) 11. I wouldn't worry about it until you've had a few sessions with a decent school / instructor first and then see what they recommend - you might end up getting something that wasn't right for you if you buy too early. That said, there are plenty of engines out there that will handle your weight but finding a 'decent' one that also happens to be 'cheap' is the trick. Good luck my friend! If you're 90kg the V5 will get you off the ground but won't give you a fab climb rate. I'm 110kg and fly a Moster 185 - gives even a fat bloater like me a good climb rate! It's very responsive and I've had no issues with it! Highly recommended Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  13. Agreed...wait til you've trained and had a good chat with your instructor about which wing would suit you best...there's no rush Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  14. Rest in peace buddy! Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  15. Sorry to hear this one. Hopefully this is a one off due to moving workshops etc. I fly a Bulldog and I have to say have been really impressed with Clive, his product and his dealers. Fingers crossed you get this sorted to your satisfaction soon! D Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.

  17. Even on a cold day, it can be quite thermic...to assist you, check out the UK RASP table - it'll give you a good idea about thermal activity at various altitudes etc Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  18. Isn't that what 'Dell' is claiming to be the fastest wing in the universe at the moment? Looks similar to the Blacklight Paraglider to me. Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  19. I love buzzing light fluffy clouds but I have to say, I wouldn't much fancy being stuck in that thick grey stuff, especially so close to the hill! I have to say though, if I was the passenger and my pilot started praying like that in flight, I might well of needed clean underpants on landing! 20. What's your reason for not liking a front mount? I agree with previous poster - by far the, easiest, best and safest place to have it. Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  21. No more suggestions - the list you already have is excellent but please keep us updated as to your progress / success and the best of luck to you! Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  22. Great stuff. Thanks Fergus! Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  23. Excellent. Thanks chaps. Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
  24. I'm a big fella at 6ft5" and 110kg and drive a Saab saloon. I can just about fit my Bull dog Moster, large wing and the rest of my kit in the car and get about but am slowly ruining the cars interior. Ill probably end up buying a van, but has anyone used one of these tow bar attachments for mounting your motor on the back of your car? How secure are they? Any ideas people? 25. Any landing you walk away from, is classed as a good one in my book! Well played old bean! Pianoman Sent from my iPad using PMC Forum mobile app.
