  1. Hi Simon, This is probably one of many 'out takes' from the Gourment Powered Paragliding DVD which is about a group of Americans on a Mexican Cross Country Adventure. At the moment this DVD is given free if you subscribe to the new Paramotor Magazine. The DVD is worth viewing on those frequent none Paragliding/Paramotoring days that we are getting at the moment. Fly with ya soon. Terry
  2. Hi Simon, I hope you get well soon!!
  3. Norman, Thanks for you prompt and informative reply. I certainly will be joining Simon in fitting a Strobe. Terry
  4. Hi Simon, Im relieved that you are still with us and able to report this incident on the forum, to quote your words: "I had a close call from a light Aircraft. When I say close I mean 20 meters in front of me, banked fully over to the right in the air 20 meters at the converging speeds that we were both at was VERY VERY VERY close. The pilot must have been alseep." It could have been a different subject heading, other than 'Near Miss'. Obviously this incident compromised Rob's, Colin's and your safety. Is it subject to an Airprox report? (Maybe Norman could advise) If so, the Pilot of the light aircraft will be informed, if not already aware of this near miss. See Ya Soon Terry
  5. Well done done Simon. You deserve it. See Ya Soon Terry
  6. Hi Dave, Thanks very much for taking the time to reply so quickly. I've looked at the rpmppg.com site and it explains exactly what I wanted to know and a lot more to boot aswell, about the "Flat Top". It appears, that a lot of thought has gone into the construction, especially on the safety side. Fly safe Terry
  7. Dave, I know what a Paramotor is. But could you please explain what a "Flat Top Paramotor"is and maybe compare it with a Parajet. I'm sure that I'm not the only one out there who's unsure. Cheers Terry
  8. You can fly in the rain if you want to. But it's not a good thing to do. You will get wet, cold and miserable and probably want a pee in the loo. So we have to sit back and day dream, about flying high in the sky. Don't worry too much Slim, the rain will soon turn to steam and then back into the air, with your trusty ol'e machine. Fly Safe Terry

Hi Norman & Martin, I have the Standard Google Earth, (Free Download) and I can,t get any track overlay either. I have been told by other Paraglider Pilots that GE Plus is required. Norman, if your little bit of further research proves positive, please let me know how it can be done. I look forward to seeing you both soon at Lambourn. Cheers Terry
  11. Hi Simon, Save a place for me, ......and Dawn Terry W
  12. Morning Simon, The directions you gave are ok for lads & lasses with local knowledge of the area, but for mere mortals like me , could you give directions from a known reference point ie. the present takeoff/landing field and possible O/S Grid ref. Hope to see ya soon Terry

  16. Hi to Simon and Colin, It was good to see you both at Lambourn this afternoon and to chat about Paramotoring in general, as it was too windy for flying and ground-handling. I would also like to thank you both for the advice and final adjustments you made to my RAD throttle.it,s really spot on now. Cheers Terry
