  1. I took my v5 for what was arranged to be a few hour visit, 5 weeks later its still there also having a valve seat sorted. Have been badly disappointed by no answer/reply to messages, I love the machine but the customer service would put me off buying another. Nige
  2. Had a similar thing with a prop that was slightly too high pitched, it wouldn't quite reach normal full rpm and then would slowly slow down. Never did figure why it slowed down, I could understand it being too draggy to reach full rpm but not the slowing.. Nige
  3. That must be me! I live in Duston and fly nearby. Would love to hook up. Nige
  4. It's a neat idea but 45€ for a plastic windmill that probably just contains a couple of magnets for the phones magnetic sensors to detect rotation seems a bit steep. Nige
  5. I think the clue is in the name - British hang-gliding and paragliding association - "gliding" not powered.. Think turning up at a cycling club on a motorbike.. Only joking Nige
  6. Fingers crossed for me for the following weekend as I cant make the 22nd Nige
  7. Miles! (assuming nil wind but even more with a tail wind) I have a 15 litre tank and burn about 2.4 litres an hour when trimmed at about 26-27 mph. Nige
  8. I wonder what you are getting currently. with me being 85 kg (wet) under my 29 nuke and V5 I have a range of about 165 miles. Nige
  9. You might have the wrong airport! Be sure it's www.marstonairfield.co.uk
  10. It only looks pink from below - Lindsay hasn't seen it from above! Nige
  11. Awesome.. especially as I have a red Nucleon! Nige
  12. There is a school based around Market Harborough www.marstonairfield.co.uk speak to Clive and he'll sort whatever your needs. Nige
  13. We have considered Sackville as a target before, a fiver a visit aint bad considering it has a café I believe. Nige
  14. ..But above all... if its anything like a Nucleon, don't try to launch nil wind on slowest trim - it does exactly the same thing. Set it to neutral or maybe a tad higher, it makes the wing seem more "interested" to fly.. Nige
  15. I'll certainly keep Tuesday clear of work, the forecasted 5 degrees equates to about an hour so there's a 20+ mile xc.. Nige
  16. This Thursday afternoon hopefully! ..it just happens that the forecast promises a rare flyable day. Probably use the strip at Pitsford Reservoir or maybe a field near Duston, trouble with wintertime is that weekdays are out for most due to work, I'm fortunate in being self employed so if its flyable I'm gonna fly. Mind you, I'm getting fussier about cold and wet grass. A couple of us are going to the NEC aviation show this Sunday, your welcome to come along if you like or if your free Thursday drop by. Nige
  17. There is a club that uses a lakeside field in Ditchford Lane. Myself and a couple of others have the use of a couple of fields around Northampton. Are you already flying or starting out? Nige
  18. I thought it might be a bit chilly doing that, ...seems by the last few seconds I was right... Nige
