  1. 1991......Paragliding wings must've been very much in their experimental stage back then?......
  2. Had a couple of hours of practise yesterday afternoon, out the back of my house......... There was virtually nil wind, and I managed a couple of decent forwards. If I'd had my motor on my back, I'd have been away!!!.......
  3. Hi Alan, No, I still havn't got round to using the camera yet........Soon hopefuly!! Cheers, Neil..

    gx200 its there

looks good Jock!!......How much does the paramotor weigh?
  5. You're spot on Simon.......... And after my day with you yesterday, it really brought home the importance of ground handling practice... I awoke this morning with a steely determination to get this sorted- especially the forward launches.. Right....I'm off to the park !!!
  6. Nice video Mike, looks great in HD!! Neil
  7. Is anyone else using the Brauniger IQ Basic GPS ?......... I've been in touch with Memory Map and they say that their mapping software is not compatible, apparently they cater for mainly ETrex and Garmin...... Another possibility is FlyChart. Any ideas?........ Neil
  8. I was just looking at the Lumix GF 1........ Looks a great camera, read a couple of reviews that say picture quality is up there with DSLR's. Has anyone had dealings with this particular model ?........ Neil.
  9. I'll hopefully be trying out my new GoPro HD this Wednesday weather permitting!!.... I've also bought the chest harness for it, which looks quite a useful piece of kit. I'll post up the results when I've had a play......
  10. Happy birthday Colin!!...........
  11. So how's the weather looking this morning Si ?........ Neil
  12. I'll be there Saturday, weather permitting.........
  13. Thanks Tom. I can play the video now but it jumps a few frames each second. Can I get round that too. Nice clear picture though Dave HD video uses a hell of alot of RAM memory....... I've got some Pinnacle software, and when just viewing HD tapes it can use up to one Gig of memory and even more when editing. My old PC only had one Gig of RAM and that did the same thing, jumping frames and a chequered effect appearing on the screen.
  14. Some very brave flying there!!...........
  15. That would have to be some take off run!!....
  16. Beautiful engineering, but it has to weigh much more than they say......bet it sounds nice though!!

    Cold weather gear

I bought a set of these Nash thermals from the local fishing shop yesterday. Excellent value, got them for £25.00!!.........
  20. The new Parajet Cyclone has 40 BHP!!.............far more than the evo puts out. I've seen a youtube clip of it being tested with no problems at all (well over 100KGS of thrust!!). Parajet's owner Gilo Cordozo has flown it and he said it's like "taking an elevator into the sky" I sure hope there's no truth in this "excess thrust/collapsed wing" talk, or there's going to be alot of accidents!!........
  21. Hi Tom, Thanks very much for the info...........I'll get ordering!! Neil.
  22. Bought a GoPro HD camera from the PMC shop just before xmas, and I've got a couple of questions regarding choice of memory cards............ I've read in the instructions that the camera accepts 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 Gb SD cards. My questions are: 1- Roughly how many minutes of footage can you capture when filming in HD mode, per Gb of card storage? 2- How many still images can you capture? 3- What make of SD card is best for quality? Cheers chaps, Neil
  23. Reminds me of my first take off attempt at The Flagpole!!...........
  24. Hi Jim, I have a Parajet Volution Macro which I bought second hand. Some say they're a little on the heavy side, but they do have plenty of power!! Aside from the weight issue, I've not heard any bad things said about them. Neil.
