  1. I have successfully fitted and tested the CA-WTS kit. I pulled in 40cm of tip line with a ground speed of 80km and all is good. I have a first edit of detailed instructions and your feedback is appreciated http://www.custom-air.co.uk/Custom_Air_Sports/WTS.html
  2. yes agree, sorry SW, I still have a dudek re-action and have loved it, I fly the Fusion now and love that, for different qualities and feel. I edited my previous posts Fitting my WTS kit today and its looking good for flying & testing later.
  3. I heard that the 31 had collapsed, a rumor, I would suggest your friend calls in and checks that his is on the ok list, just to be safe.
  4. sewing the knot was just a suggested option, it is not recommended in the wts kit manual, which clearly shows how to just tie it on with the specified knot, anything else is up to yourself. PRE Flight is all that is really needed. I will still be fitting my split lines and making instructions for those that are interested. All manufactures have their niggles as all pilots are different with different styles and attitudes.
  5. Yes if you want to either tie the WTS line onto the toggle or have it the full length. I have made the whole setup shorter by half and increased the WTS line thinkness to match the stabilo line with a premeasured wts line so no knots. but yes you can do your own thing for £30 using the original wts lines.
  6. Now that is a simple solution. I like it. Should have spoke to him at the start.
  7. I totally agree with SW, my knots do not slip either as many others which are fine. That said if a few have had issues then its reason enough to assume some others might also. If I can eliminate a potential problem before it happens I will and then decided to share my solution. The original manufacture kit is designed to be easy to fit without disturbing any of the originally fitted main lines there fore eliminating any chance of user error on the main lines. The proposed kit will require undoing the mallions removing and replacing the stabilo line which if you are not upto the job could bring in a whole new set of issues by incorrect fitting, which is why I am working on detailed instructions. I will post them on here so a pilot can decide if it is a job they would consider undertaking.
  8. Pete B Yes that is where the cost is. Split line cost double as despite the short length it is the measuring time and time spent stitching up the looped ends. I have new WTS lines which are measured to fit exact with more measuring and loops stitched and they are a lot shorter than the original long line, but I can make them any length. What you are paying for is 6 lines worth of labour. Norman and SW Yes I was concerned about warranty and insurance issues not for myself but when supplying to others. Yes I was planing on sending some to pascal but will see what SW thinks also.
  9. I spoke to soon and the line price was per side it is due to the work involved is the eqivelent to 6 lines with loops (4 short & 2 long). I have done some negotiating and got the price to £40 for a complete set on the promise of more orders. Its dearer but a good permanent fix. Photo's next week.
  10. I now have kits available as pre-order, It needs finalizing and testing on my Fusion 29. Available in all wing sizes of the Paramania range, Revo Fusion GT. Based on replacement split stabilo lines with new shorter pre-measured Wing Tip Steering lines all measured to perfection with fitting instructions. Will be about £25 for the kit inc delivery. When I have finished the fitting instructions I will make them available as a PDF so anyone can check them out see what they think. Will be next week now.
  11. I use the heat shrink when making the netting on my frames which is made with 200kg flying line. Its tricky and I have been known to cook a few and have to re do it. I can say that super glue would also work and doesen't appear to weaken the line, but long term on the line strength I would not like to guess. There are many options but only a few are really good for sure.
  12. since reading all your views I will be putting a kit together to produce a non slipping line replacement set for those that want it. Just for the fusions at first. Mine haven't slipped but it sounds like something that could happen. Let me know SW if your interested in a fix. PM/Email me.
  13. Here's a link to the correct knot if your having trouble finding it. http://www.custom-air.co.uk/paramania_fusion_wts.pdf and for fusion fans I have some vids of me enjoying my Fusion 29. For your information Full Slow and speedbar worked for me but I wouldn't recommend it (it was very calm, very high, and I barely touched the brakes) let the trims out a little and then your good n safe on the green.
  14. Hi Flying Doc, Thanks for the kind remarks, so long as you are happy with your purchase and am flying safe all is good. I like to sell motors but every pilot is different with their requirements and one motor does not fit all types, buy and fly what is best for you. Most of all enjoy it. Vince
