gordon_dunn
As it turns out- not a paramotor, but a Powered Parachute. Full AAIB report on this incident at - http://www.aaiu.ie/sites/default/files/ ... -001_0.pdf Laws for PPCs are same as microlights in Republic, even for flying a paramotor you need an exemption certificate from the IAA. This guy has grounds for prosecution on many counts. A lesson for all.

gordon_dunn
Yes- personally dont like these machines myself, but If i was going to buy one it would have to be the Fresh Breeze Excitor- They even look good on the ground!!!!! never mind flying. If I was going to go to this expense- id propably go the whole hog and go for 3axis or weightshift microlight.

Guest
Which is kind of what I did. I still have a Parajet built quad ready to go but am doing my NPPL in a 3 axis microlight which was less money than the FB set up to buy. SW
