macey2kk
Excuse me if This sounds thick, but if you have 2 of those producing 10k thrust each, do you still have a combined thrust of 10kg, or do you have the equivalent of 20? Guest
By the time you got enough together you would need batteries the size of a breeze block to run them for any amount of time. The weight is not so much the issue, it's the cost and maintenance of them there LiPo's SW

And 1k work of batteries And 1k worth of frame etc... Still good value, and I wonder if the life span of the lipos costs more than petrol costs over their lifespan?? Just curious!! Or could it be the next project?
Guest
We just had to spend £1000 on Lipo's for the Spidi Cam.... they would run 6 of those motors for about 7 mins. They represent the size of a normal house brick all together!!. I recon your looking more at £3k for the batteries and expect a 50% loss over 12-18 months depending on use. That will give you 21 mins of flight when new and 10 after 18 months. SW

pauldeakin
I don't think we should be thinking of using something like this in the same way that we use a paramotor, but more like a winch. I mean something to get you of the ground gain some height and then glide because you have no more power in the batteries.
