cas_whitmore
I see what they meant now , what about the tool that is used for tightening grinding discs on grinders , Might be same never know ,
cas_whitmore
Also , not left hand thread is it ? Julien4788
it is too small diameter for grinder tool. Since the gear is turning left it must be tightened clockwise with the resistance of the bigger gear ( i think). I will try to fabricate a 4 pin tool and if that doesn't work i will try and unscrew from the clutch bell with a bigger tool. If that doesn't work then i might just go at it with a pipe wrench and buy another pinion gear lol
Pete S
I am not familiar with this set up so wondering, does the central part with the 4 holes unscrew from inside the small gear? If so the pipe wrench solution won't work.
Julien4788
No it's the other way around, the pinion gear unscrews from the clutch. It was confirmed to me thaf they are regular threads so no reverse threads
Julien4788
I am honestly surprised by the support i am getting from the Ros Team. I might be looking at their brand new Ros 125 for my future "non-beginner" setup
Julien4788
Was able to get it appart using two appropriate sized spring pins and a adjustable wrench. the cause of the faillure was probably the one who has taken it appart last time, the seal wasn't installed properly. Seems like the bearings had exploded causing damage to the casing which hasn't been taken care of before installing the seals and new bearings

JulianG
Hi Julien4788 im also struggling with that gear. Did it turn clockwise (reverse thread) to unscrew and remove? And what tool did you use eventually. regards Julian
