Mike at Ufly4fun is an excellent choice i would seriously talk to him before dismissing him and BHPA registered trainer, i live near Norwich and there is a few of us learnt/learning with Mike and No inflated training prices, happy to advise you in the early days with ground handling but qualified training is best way welcome aboard Kiwi.

What i should of also said was Mike use to train at North repps but Now trains more at Winglands Airfield (Gedney drove end) but like i said have a chat he does not bite 

Cars loaded up and keys in me pocket waiting on Boris's Word of Go  but possibly be more like  been so long may of forgotten how

Not sure about that  friends 31yr old daughter keen cyclist as i am got knocked off last week (hit and run), broken wrist, elbow & three ribs and visit to A & E with a hospital holiday,  came out yesterday after they had operated on wrist and elbow, but surprise is went in reasonably healthy and left with nice little attachment===== Covid 19, so No more cycling for her till lockdown over, i stopped after first week because it is NOT the lack of vehicles on the road, it is now the ferkin speed they are doing which to me makes it even more dangerous and i am a Key worker so gotta stay SAFE.

In response to the questions raised about can we/should we fly I’d like to offer this.
Last year an unnamed pilot enjoyed a perfectly legal flight. During this flight he completed a controlled landing in an open space completely without incident.

Concerned members of the public saw this and unknowingly thought the pilot had crashed as he went out of sight behind terrain and called it on to 999, with the best intentions in the world.

People Stay Safe Stay alive and if possible Stay Home, TODAY is NOT a good day to DIE or possibly KILL others.

PPPssstttt  i heard the other day there is a crazy american called Gucker Tott who is attempting it very soon just needs to perfect the Launching of his new wing  think iirc it was a Dudek Warp but has a few teething problems getting it to Fly

Toploader on my first flight i totalled my paramotor after panicking and too much info, 15-20mph straight into the ground as my head was struggling to take in all the information (but this was my own problem), and after that and the complete rebuild i sorted out my head and couple of weeks got back in the saddle (so to speak), and the second landing was 100% better as i analyzed my first attempt and took it in and vowed to learn from my mistake and moved on,  and after that on third attempt i decided i would be better not hearing my instructor and went totally solo on Landing which proved to help, but not advisable to do this really and best to listen to your instructor, plus in honesty i could still see him going through the landing hand heights as he was directly infront of me.

I treated and still do that every day in our sport is a School day and as long as you learn and improve from your mistakes then it is Good.

Not attending on the Friday which looks like the Best Flying day but it will be what it is , but will be just good to meet new faces and talk parabolics 

Mr Curious here  So i will just ask it outright, is it just me or have some of you also been outside wearing and starting your paramotors just because you feel the need , Yes i am getting itchy feet and desperate to Fly again but most of us (Not the Abroad Holidaymakers) who seem to be in Weather crapiness  must be chomping at the bit . And more gloomier is the fact of the Fly-inn just around the bend and weather very VERY unpredictable at the minute .

It might just be me but on my third flight under instruction after the other two i just turned the volume off, as i felt it was too much information and seemed overload so just wanted peace and quiet and even managed to land properly

None have a word with your trainer because if your thinking of getting ahead and kiting down a local field you could be developing bad habits, and also possibly putting yourself in danger unless receiving guidance from an experienced flier

sabusabu if your desperate and need new contact Nigel at ukppg as he was doing Simonini engines and spares but if you have a part or identification number on the old one just google it, as most  flywheels are standard parts and usually  fitted to scooters but just takes time to track down which one their on and then trawl ebay or contact relevant bike breakers.

That i can not deny always fun but each little problems makes me think am i really in the right sport , thankfully i am not ready to chuck in the towel just yet

Well folks another quick update and mostly good again , been over to Wingland twice for further flights and first weekend was low clouds but still had two good flights with No drama's which is very nice, and this landing lark well not sure why we fuss over it as i get wrong nowadays for making Takeoffs and landings look so easy.

Friday just gone first to the field and second to take off, after hilariously watching another new flier struggle to reverse take off in winds which truthfully made it an absolute doddle but i do sympathize as we possibly have all been there .

Fellow fliers thought i took the piff as i was only up for 20 minutes, only came down as got foowkin warm in flying suit as forgot to remove me hoodie  , but stayed down for 30 minutes then decided i had cooled off enough to go up again which turned into a 50 minute flight in my new High adventure itsy bitsy gloves, considering ground temperature was about 6 degrees and i was up at 1800ft they kept my hands cushty '

And then at 3.30 only two of us still had equipment out and both of us decided we would go again for one last flight , Sam was ready first and had clipped into his wing but his engine was hesitant and sounded a little flat but he still tried to launch but his reportair wasn't having any of it, and even on a second attempt still not happening so he aborted and came over to see why i had not took off, but yes you have probably guessed it i was having minor engine trouble and had only managed to clip into wing and engine kept dying on use of throttle , did it three times and on last one i called a No fly either which does not go well with me when i am all set up.

Today i got round to removing paramotor out of the car to see what problem is, primed then two long pulls followed by over first bump then pull and started straight up easily, but use of throttle still causes engine to stop so then restarted easily again and discovered fuel line had small bubbles rising up to the top loop , so tried squeezing the primer bulb while adding a little throttle and it revved up clean, so hopefully i may of discovered the problem, so tomorrows job is to remove the inline fliter and primer bulb just to see if that is/was the problem, i am hoping the primer bulb may of  perished as it is over two years old and possibly got minor holes in it .

So that's me up to date and hopefully next post should be more positive news as March's fly in is not that long away and i keep promising i am going so this year i am

Simon consider this as hopefully constructive criticism but when i looked at your bulldog spares only one complaint , and that is regards shoulder straps to which most Bulldog owners would not be aware of what they are and with that all harnesses can be fitted with these, when Clive originally designed the harness with the stitched pocket for them built into them, so possibly the sale diagram needs and explanation or picture of them fitted as they are really good at what they are designed to do

BIG thanks Nicksee that was the whole purpose of doing the Diary type posts.

Having been there and realized how different it can be to what we expect, really now at the stage i am each flight does not phase me and it just so easy launch and fly, but this is the time were nothing must be rushed and each launch is another learning day.
