Once i dropped the throttle, i couldn't fart hard enough to gain altitude😣

Hi Adam, I am just going to post this here just in case it is not how you are wearing your throttle, worth watching as good educational video, you may of not been trained this way but hopefully we live and learn and more of us get a better experience out of our flying.  And another point Ian does not make on his video is when used like this if you should happen to drop the throttle their is less slack making it less likely to get anywhere near the prop.

Hi Mick... I fly from St Ives.

I don't think I'm a raving lunatic though. More of an irresponsible idiot!

There's a good few of us in the area, although I'm the only one flying directly from St Ives.

Lee you definitely have your odd moments especially when start to mix your flying and paddling  :wingover:💧💧🤣  never forget this one

I once heard from a Moster wizard, tune the low jet until the engine vibration is minimal.

Also, the adjustments on the low jet should be every so very tiny 1 min increments.

That same wizard came to Membury one day and sorted out 5 machines doing exactly the above.

    SW :D

Very true adjustments are only like a screw driver blade thickness adjustment and experienced tuners do it by sight and listening to engine, when set right after you give it some throttle the revs will drop then pick up again as should.

Hi, im just curious what gap they are trying to fill with this engine? They are obviously not trying to save weight (sorry but figures on this engine state it is only fractionally  heavier than a Moster) as that will never happen with a 4t (Originally true but not in todays engineering world). Noise?(4 strokes have always been quieter ) Not sure they will be able to make it much quieter than others. Power? Its not going to trump a 2t is it?(i would of said not, but two friends who own Moster's have said it feels it has more Ooomph) Fuel consumption it would win hands down over the 2t`s but as with anything this usually comes at a cost eg weight.  It would be awesome if it ticked any of the boxes , i was just wondering what the goal was.

I fly a Moster but XC's is were i am looking to go so this engine if reliable and puts out anywhere near the expected figures, will be my hands down choice and yes i know the wing choice also comes into the equation :D

    Hi,

'Paranoob' on youtube has a 242cc EOS preproduction model to test!

    Greetings,

Tim Paul messaged me earlier to see if i was going to be at one of our flying club locations during this week as he will be there with said engine B|, but big possibility the day he has chosen is no good for me :(, current suggested thrust figures and fuel consumption with overall engine weight make it a game changer :D.

I think I'm just too heavy on it, better for stability and speed, but especially bad if I have to turn in late for a small landing area. During turns I drop like a stone!

I'm expecting that a larger wing will be more floaty and make a better final stall for landing slowly into wind..

I'm saving my money, doing extra overtime at work, what second wing should I be looking at. DUDEK, ITV, ? Not even looked at prices yet, but presuming my wing is worth £500 still and I will save up another £1500- £2000 in overtime. What should I be looking for?

Mark easy question but loads of answers ;) as previously asked weight ?, then there is style of flying  ie :- leasure, xc,  ?, and yes i own a Paramania wing and find launching easy either forward or reverse, but more thirstier in flight than my Dudek which launches and lands 80% better (IMO), plus new design's do fly almost by themselves now and technology has even decreased overall weight so a win win situation.

  7. Very Sorry to those that have read and followed my Adventure but been lapse again which i did not expect to happen :o.

But it came down to being a key worker and weather crap when i was off meaning i actually lost the love for flying and made worse by seeing and hearing others flight reports :(.

But thankfully i was royally kicked in the rear and forced to fly to which it worked i have now got back into it :x.

Bit annoyed about fly ins getting postponed and cancelled and now not able to go to PMC july fixture, but currently looking for a van to convert to day van come mobile garage for my Paramotor so onward's and deffo Upward's :D :dive:

  8. I have a moster engine and fly Uni 1.1 28 ;) and i tend to weight shift by putting right leg over left, but last flight did use tea line and found out bottom knot needs moving down slightly, but i was trimmed out to 15 and this was to gain level flight :D, but keep meaning to try the upper loop to see the difference.

But IMO i will adjust the tea knot as can be applied or undone as torque steer not a problem at lower throttle use :coptor:

Hello, I have two HE engines. On their website you can download a list of spare parts. Just mail to ventas@heparamotores.com and you get a PI from them. I live in Belgium, delivery time is about a week.

:D just go on their web page bottom left and Skype and talk to Dana always worked for me 👌🏽;)

    Awesome. Thanks

Hopefully got one sorted just waiting to confirm details, but one minor question does your motor have electric start ?, Not that it is a problem mine has 4 wires (might be standard to have 4) and if this one has 2 then i will just swap it :D;).

    Hi all.

Struggling to tune the Walbro carb on my MY19 Moster 185.

Seems to be running rich at idle from the spark plug colour and exhaust smell. If I lean it using the low jet screw, it stalls when I throttle up from idle.  The high jet is still capped with the factory tamper proof cover, so that has not moved.

    Any advice much appreciated.

Official settings for L screw 1/4 to 1/3 of turn but i would set it so it ticks over and then adjust accordingly so it revs cleanly, i would not worry about plug colour at idle just get it ticking over and cleanly revving, the only way to do a plug chop is to warm it up and do a 15 minute flight and turn it off then glide in and land, if not possible there might be other problems ?, how many hours on motor ?, how long since carb rebuilt?, how long since flown ? the list goes on.

Sorry I didn't intend to dismiss all BHPA trainers if it came across that way, I was just curious if any BHPA instructors were closer is all :)Ok he sounds like a good person to learn with and a couple of people have now said he's good - I will see if I can make it work with the distance and give him a message :) thank you!

You never mentioned or referred to BHPA Trainers that was not my suggesting just giving an honest reply to your question, i know the distance looks long but believe me once you meet the Wingland motley crew you will not regret it ;), most trainers you go to will result in a bit of travelling, and yes i probably am slightly biased but there is stories out there from most trainers you just have to go with what you think best 9_9, Simon from here is good but that involves serious travelling and incorporating more costs.
