Hi Alan
Sorry afraid all the bits were ripped out rather than taken out and were just scrap after that so binned.
On footflier .com there is a design for a universal headset/mike set up which might be an option. Now I've got the throat mike stuff I cant belive how much beter it is no wind or engine noise when you transmit and decent loudnes without distortion on recieve.

Hi,
I have the same helmet and had the same problem. Its nothing to do with the radio its the helmet.
If you pull out the foam insert from the helmet and look at the leads they have no shielding and all connect at the back of the helmet close to the engine. I never did get it sorted ended up just keeping the helmet stripped of its wires and bits and using a throat mike for coms.
Hope you have better luck .

hi justin,
I know a few people who connect it this way. I think Simon W does it this way. Hope it helps.

hi
You could just hook them into the hangpoints with the wing. Wont put you in an upright position like the shoulder point would but leave you in the flying position and able to slip forward into an upright position.

Hi All,
think the forseable new kit may be semi-ridgid wings with a large trim range and reflex profile.
I belive Ozone are experementing with carbon fiber stiffiners and a reduction in number of lines down to just having two risers "A" n "B" . (saw video on the net somewhere think youtube???)
Smaller wings with higher capacity and reflex section are Im sure being tested by others. A combination of the two technologies would be silly not try.
just my thoughts on what we may fly in the future looking at whats getting tried out by the designers.
Cheers Col.

hover ?
bollocks to that with 40kg over and above my dead weight I had better get a decent climb out it

I reckon if you stuck that 110kg thrust motor on me on a big wing it would stall. Then again with that thrust I could fly without the wing.
I only weigh 60 kg so if I got the center of thrust balanced i would have 40kg of excess thrust firing me straight up.
then again maybe it would just make this easier
still think it wont stall????????

Hi Gulfstream,
Just a thought if you could get the software to give you an
economy/performance option just by fliking a switch. I dont know how the
rotary engine fires but if its like a twostroke every compression you could have
it like that for take of ect then cut to every second compression to just cruise
about using the injectors to do that would make it much more economical on
fuel.
Dont know how possiable that is as no one seemed to do it with a twostroke .

Hi Norman,
I might be barking up the wrong tree here and if so my apologies but my understanding is that to operate an airband radio you not only require the licence but the aircraft has to be regestered and certified which in the case of a ppg makes it a none starter .
May the flaming begin......

Hi Cobra,
Easy to tell just pound it with your fist if it crumples its the Adventure one and if you break a bone its the Nirvana one.
cheers col...

hi Cobra
You could try Adventures own site they have some pdf's although not the one for the solo 210 engine.
I ended up downloading the freshbreese pdf for their solo engined machine instead it gives me the settings and info about the engine I need.
They are good reliable units as long as they have the high energy ignition.
weak point is the cage and when it goes invariabley the prop does as well.
The cage for the Nirvana range of units is almost a straight swap with a huge improvement in material strength that gives a very solid cage that can take a bump or two without turning into crumpled up tent poles.
Well worth doing.
Anyway enjoy and welcome to the forum
