Hi Rach,
Im sure some of the guys, who have similar if not much greater experience of aviation in fixed wing and flexifoil types, will tell you it helped not a jot.
It is poss but will take longer be more frustrating and break more stuff.
Most reputable schools include the use of school kit in the course cost. Your experience would count in the nav,air law, meteorology sections.
Anyway just IMO.

Hi Poz,
If your cutting down a bolt to size put a nut on it down to the level you want it to be grind or cut the exess off then when you take the nut off it will clean up the threads for you.
Hope that helps.

Hi Jamie,
Think cobra has a point with the de-compresser being blocked. It would slow the swing using the starter as the light weight batterys used have limited power. On the pull start you give it more oomfhh. Worth a look anyway.

hi Dogman,
Dont worrie it is a different thing to flying. It made me feel the same watching the vid theres no way i could do that they would have to unweld me hands to get me down.
But flying not a problem any height you want.
Static heights freak a lot of people. At work we have a 250ft tall building that if i stand on top and look over makes me giddy and really uncomfy but I've flowen over at 1500ft above it and not a thing happy as larry.
If you can look out the window in a plane with no problem you'll be fine.

Hi Guys
Thanks for the offers. When does france get back from its hols Alan ? I may well require the services of your friend.
It is the HEIS system i have Dave and its the little black box that i suspect of failing. Adventure part no AL13.
Where did you get your HEIS from as they might have the parts i need?

Hi all,
My Adventure A3 has (I think) blown its cdi unit. I've tried to contact adventure to order one but so far without success.
Just wondered if any one had one sitting around doing nothing. Or if its pos to refurb the old one and how expensive that might be.
Any help appreciated.

just agreeing with jock most off-road motorcyle shops will be able to seperate and re-press your crank and have the kit to make it run true if not in their workshop they will have a service they send out to.
Backcountry flying, take-offs and landings?

Hi Buck,
Ah at 79kg it brings you back into the weight range of the standard size's of wings. Makes it a lot easier to find kit that will work for you.
I would also suggest you invest in a spot tracker or similar system in case you get into trouble in remote locations as engine outs or twisted ankles on landing are not unheard of.
Look forward to seeing some photos from your flights.
