  1. Ah no one bought that one it always broke off  and never worked again after being glued back on.

It was known in the trade as the "eunuch " model for that very reason.........

The eagle eyes and grippy hands were a direct side effect of the functioning penis  so without that the whole action figure ceased working.....

    explains a lot really... :roll::roll:

  2. Hi Jock,

Superb video. I did do a double take when I saw the Dudek signage on top of one of the buildings then realised it was added.

That bit after credits sure looks like a dustbin lid - 10p moment.

His are most definitely bigger than mine LOL.

    Cheers Col...

  3. Hi bernoulli,

To answer some of your questions.....

    1) Your kit should fit in an estate car no problem even in a standard 4 door (though you may have to break it down further)

2)You have more chance of having a complete course in the one hit in spain but it is by no means guaranteed. Weather will be weather...

    3) you can fly legally in the uk now with no training at all there is no such thing as compulsory training in the uk there isn't even a licence only a rating from one of the organisations providing training.

    4) My advice would be to spend the money on the wing as if it stops working you fall out the sky. The paramotor its self isn't as important if it stops working you just glide to the nearest safe place to land.

    5) You aviation experience will help with navigation, air law, and weather conditions though they require tweeking to relate to paramotors and their performance limits. They are of no use at all in flying the thing its a totally different beast.

Hope they are of some help.

    Cheers Col..

  4. Send it to the loft or airofix you'll find them in google both do a good job.

They will check the reserve to make sure its up to scratch (canopy, lines etc. ) for you at the same time.

Its not very expensive and they get it picked up / dropped back to you for (I think ? ) about £20.

    Hope that helps Col........

  5. Hi,

Just a thought but I think that your level flight cruise speed is just matching where the power band on the parajet is. At one second just below then it jumps into the power.

A possiable answer might be as easy as altering the trim speed of your wing to either speed it up and run the motor in the power band or slower and stay below that power band .

As I say just some thoughts hope they are of help...

    Cheers Col....

  6. Must have given him a fright when it let go.

Having the complete prop assembly fall off smashing your cage to bits and taking a few fins off the motor would colour your opinion somewhat.

  7. Right !!

never never the gap goes past the port.

They shouldn't line up either if there is more than one ring.

Usually go against the side walls.

Sometimes the location pins for the rings have been known to fall out with m/cycle engines allowing the rings to turn .

If you give it a tug with some pliers (the one in the old piston) you may find its just wedged in the groove rather than embedded in the piston in the groove.

Hope you get it sorted soon

  8. Check the piston is the right way round .. sounds daft but some are handed.

The other common thing is if any porting work on the exhaust has been done the port has been enlarged too much and allowing the ring to expand into it as it passes that kills rings and pistons pretty fast.

Or if there has been a previous blow up not getting the bore properly clean of debris. Speaking of debris the bottom end of yours will have bits in it . A good wash out with paraffin should sort it but to be totally sure you would need to strip it and renew the bearings just in case.

Hope im not teaching you to suck eggs.

    Cheers Col...

  9. Hi

    And welcome to the forum.

I would say leave buying kit till you sort out training and done some. Most instructors will have at least groundhandling kit and its not too hard to find those that will have and allow you to use the school paramotors for your training. Usually on a you break it you fix it basis.

It gives you a chance to try the kit and expert guidance in your choice of purchase.

    Hope thats of help.

    cheers col
