  1. £1000 OVNO Puts out around 56kg of thrust perfect for body weights up to 90kg ( Manual suggestion). Bought last year with 40 hours and done about 10 myself in it. Never skips a beat and is quiet! Reason for selling is for funds for travelling! Positives: Quiet and electric starter motor! All new throttle and fuel lines Very economical Never missed a beat, I have never had any trouble with this unit! Comfortable high hangpoint Light, being much easier to carry than most other Motors! Large comfortable harness All round great paramotor at a very low price! Negatives: Previous owner took a hard landing and dented the muffler and frame, this is simply cosmetic and does not affect the flying capability or safety! Has been examined by an engineer and qualified Instructor! I will also put in various other equipment! Contact me on 07887375146 for further details Thank you Reason for selling, I love flying but I can't take it to Australia with me! They wouldn't allow it on the plane apparently
  2. It seems to be in a tangle, I believe that when I sent it off it had the handles tied with the line passing through the speed bar, I hope I am understanding what you mean Simon and not repeating you I have Mike who is very good at these things, I just thought I would attempt it myself rather than bother him too much! Thank you Simon! I think I will take your advice and leave it! it's okay to fly on slow trim as the normal Brake handles are not affected and so I haven't used a speed bar yet anyway or the tst kit! Even if it's left till the fly in
  3. Sorry for the delayed response, work took over the last 2 days! I hope these photos make sense? i believe all i have to do is untie them and un loop them from the speed-bar lines and retie? Cheers!
  4. Morning! Just a few things I am slightly worried about before I take to the skies again, I have noticed that my tip steering on the right hand side has been tied through the speed-bar lines which when pulled, pulls on that too, can I just untie and tie them back? what happens if the tip steering handle comes off in flight whilst on full trim? Has this ever happened? Second! I still have fuel in my paramotor from last year, it ran fine in April when I last got a flight, but it still remains old fuel! What is the best thing to do, or should the fuel still be usable? Lastly, out of interest, can you fly on slow trim with the brakes on the magnets or is this not advised even in smooth conditions? My instructor did teach me all this but it's been so long I forget! If I flew more I wouldn't have to worry about these things! Cheers! Michael
  5. and more! The bit when you realise your feet have left the ground every time makes me yell swear words of joy every time! I just wish I did more of it!
  6. Thanks Simon, I sent my wing there for inspection last year so I shall do the same with the Reserve! Didn't realise they did repacking! And sounds great to me, fingers crossed for good weather! I will click going
  7. Hi everyone, Been a while since I posted on here, last time I posted I had just bought my gear, I can now confirm I have had my first flight and several after with Mike Chilvers! Haven't flown much this year so far though, just 2 flights due to exams and being busy and not being a big fan of cold weather flying, however, exams are done tomorrow and now I am looking to really kick the flying off again, I just have a few queries! Does anyone know any pilots in the fens/South Lincs area, I am from spalding and I know of plenty that fly out of Norfolk, but not so many around here! Any Boston/Peterborough flyers on here too? I see plenty come over the top of the house! Flying in a group is much nicer than on my own and I still lack full confidence to take off on my own.. I know, embarrassing How many faces will be showing at Kings Lynn this year for the fly inn, I am guessing all as I am asking on the forum of the Host? Lastly, I have a reserve chute that I bought in the winter but never got repacked, its from June 2006 so I don't hold much hope for it, but where and how is the best place of getting it checked? Thank you!
  8. Thanks David, I'll do that then and double check everything! I have someone who is going to clean the exhaust for me and tune it as it was down in a few Kg's and adjust the cage as its a bit out after the bump someone had, but I'll change the plug and things! I'll get some photos up tomorrow evening! Practical driving test tomorrow so early night for me now! Haha its not pretty, but at 1k, it was still a bargain with only 50 odd hours on the motor itself and a brand new prop! Cheers!
  9. Hi everyone! after a while waiting, I have finally bought the kit! Dudek Reaction 27 and an Axb Hawk Vitorrazi easy 100 electric start! But I was wondering whether anyone else gets the urdge to fiddle with it? Over the last 24 hours I put together and taken down the cage atleast 5 time to carry it around! However, the reason for this thread is that I'm looking for some advice please on cleaning and just general TLC. The previous owner left it to collect dust and it is a host to many weld marks and splodges from when, from all i can guess, had a little bump one day. I'm not looking to do anything major, but could anyone please tell me whether it is safe to sand down and paint the swing arms with Vht paint, and any other general cleaning techniques like cleaning the exhaust and re oiling? I know these are basic but i would like to get it right! Thanks Michael
  10. Hi, Complete novice here but agree with the above! don't rush into buying anything, i waited 3 years, but even then i managed to buy something not suitable! ! For me, and by far the best decision i made was going to visit a club while they were training, talked to the instructor and watched people fly! Within a few weeks i went from knowing nothing and having a wing unsuitable for the job, to now having sorted out nearly all my equiptment and started training with a brilliant instructor and some great people, with confidence and trust that i am safe! even on a budget of £3000 it is possible, as i have almost proven so in short.. don't make a mistake like i did and buy poor equipment in a rush to get your feet off the ground! Buy from the pro's in person and get your instructor to advise you, and lastly, have fun in the process!! You'll meet a great bunch of people along the way!
  11. I will keep you all informed, fortunately I am under a watchful eye of a very good instructor who's flown them before, so I am confident I will enjoy it and have the ability to enjoy it even when I gain experience as its rated as beg to inter
  12. Thanks everyone I have another ground handling wing so gonna go crazy with ground training I think! Haha Also, I weigh 60kg, so I guess with a motor and reserve etc. I will reach that weight range! Cheers!
  13. Just taken delivery from a very nice chap of a reaction 27, Gobi colour for £600, with only 40 hours, dont tell me its not a good wing now! haha
  14. Thanks Lee, Some how skipped over this!! Got hold of a ground handling harness now looking for a wing! 25-27! Cheers!
  15. Hi everyone, I'm after a ground handling harness for a ground handling wing, and i'm also taking a browse for a Dudek synth or a reaction in the £1000 range for a pilot weighing 60kg please!! Cheers!! Mike
  16. I need to get rid of my current one, then i will consider! bloody thing this pg wing is turning out to be! haha
  17. Skyads! Almost forgot! Thanks! And I believe M, I will take a look! Being sold on Facebook but Morgy knows of the chap anyway! i am sure he will know more than me!
  18. Thanks Dave, I would of thought roughly £2500 for wing and motor, however I might he able to source a good motor from my instructor and an ex Brits comp mechanic for just over £1000, so go for £1100 average... There is a revo 2 for sale locally for £1200 which is tempting! Cheers
  19. Rotor off the garage seems to be the main problem, I am going to go for a wonder, once I sort out a wing, and go find a field or go to the one I plan to eventually take off from Thanks Dave!
  20. Thanks everyone, only just saw this! Whoops! Will look through the threads and get back to you all, but thanks for the advice! Morgy, Instructor is running on a one to one basis in a package deal for the equipt, he's not a school but used to own one. Dodgy... The garden is rather large, open acre roughly so almost a field, no worries if I start to be dragged, but I understand your concerns! Also, the instructor who is currently teaching me has said I am capable, but only on low wind speeds. I'll pm you
  21. I don't feel safe with the idea, and I do like the thought of keeping up with everyone! But if I lose speed for safety, then that is best! The chap who is selling it is an ex instructor and ownd a school and reckons reflex's are dangerous to learn on, however, he did instruct back in the 90's and technology would of advanced. He was never apart of the Bhpa either. My local instructor who is a member of the bhpa and owns a flying school, no names mentioned, but is located at Boston and Wingland airfield and goes by the nickname Chilly, great chap! Recommends I buy a dudek wing? But cheers for the advice! All taken on board and im sure you all and I will be relieved when i stop posting threads related to wings! Haha Cheers!
  22. Thank you for the information, plenty to think about before I do anything! However, I think confidents is best, and like you said, in the instructor! We'll see! Thanks
  23. This is the problem, the instructor has 3500 hours in his logbook, but is not a Bhpa instructor like many are and does not own a club, he is doing it on a one to one basis. Also, the wing manual said " Not suitable for acrobatics or motorized flight". So I emailed Airwave and they said that " We could not say you couldn't use it, however, the wing is not certified and we recommended you buying a Puma or a reflex style wing designed for paramotors" This leaves me in a tricky situation!
  24. Thank you, This makes sense to me! My only concerns now is that the pg wing, in the manual, says that it is not suitable for motorizled flight? Also, the manufacturers emailed me saying he would not advise flight as it was never certified? However, the chap that is selling it to me is sure that it is best! However, another instructor says that he would only train me on a reflex! I take your point, it makes sense and ties into what both of these people have said, just now deciding! Also, being a youngster, I am unsure whether I can upgrade ny wing for several years, took me three years to save enough to get to this point, I can't afford to be swapping and changing for now? Thanks
