  1. Simon, You need to have a chat with Norman, he's got the same motor as you, and he's not far off the same size. I'm sure if he sees this he will respond. Chris
  2. I own a 2cv. What does that say about me!!!! Answers on a postcard please.
  3. Hi Col, No problem mate, glad I could offer you somewhere warm to fix your motor. By the way, since you left, I have lost my 6lb hammer, blow torch and welding goggles, can you help? Chris
  4. All, As a novice to this paramotoring lark, the thing that I enjoy most is the fact that we are all the same. We get together at our respective clubs/fields, to enjoy flying, talking about flying, and being "mates". All on a level playing field. Any newcomer can chat to anyone regardless of experience and flying hours, the moment you start wearing badges to show you are better than someone else in the group, the more elitest the sport becomes, and those of us with low hours, and no badges, would feel as if we have nothing to offer the newcomers. I gave up on badges when I left the boy scouts. Lets keep it simple, enjoy the sport while we can. I'm sure enough regulation will come soon enough without imposing it upon ourselves. Soap box now vacated. Chris
  5. Simon, It's a very good field if its the one I'm thinking of, and only a mile away fom a petrol/food station. Your more than welcome to land out at our place, it can be a bit tight for taking off though depending on the wind, just watch out for the ponies wandering free!!! Chris
  6. Simon, What a small world! That must be James Mathews maybe, I have serviced his Ferrari. Did you land out near to Brick Kiln, I think he still owns the large field next to the workshops. Chris
  7. Hi all Any members of the Wiltshire PPG Club going to be at Redlands on Sunday? The weather is looking good. I shall be there to make the coffee as usual!!!Ha! Ha! Ha! Chris
  8. Your right Simon, it is me. Sorry, I forgot about the "For Sale" section on the forum. No disloyalty ment O Great One! Chris
  9. Hi all, Had a great day a Redlands today (Sunday), wind a bit strong in the morning, but able to get some good kiting practice in with the stronger winds. (that was interesting), Clive made us all bacon butties in the club house, hot coffee on tap, what more can you ask for!!!! Rob had a couple of flights during the day, Clive went up later in the afternoon to test a Castelluccio that we did some work to earlier. Had a visit from a new student starting his journey to become a paramotor pilot, and a good sunset to boot. Great! Chris
  10. Hi Clive I shall be there to make the coffee!!! My vans loaded with all the kit needed to fly, plus a few spares. You never know, I might even get my wing out and do some kiting, its about time it saw the light of day See you all at "Redlands" about 11.00 ish. Cheers, Chris
  11. Hi Clive Good shout. I should hope to be down at Redlands tomorrow if my face goes down, (Clive knows!) to empart my great experience to those who want it. LOL, LOL I can always make the coffee's!!
  12. Hi Dingocooke, I am all up weight 135kg and fly (not very often it must be said) a Synthesis 31, and from my VERY short flying experience, it is rock solid. The best chap to talk to is Clive Bunce, the Dudek UK distributor, or even Simon himself, but as you may or may not know, they're all getting lashed tonight at the club Christmas do, so you won't get any replies from them at least until tomorrow!!!! Cheers, Chris

    what van

One of the reasons we chose a Vito, and worth considering, is that it is under 2m tall and therfore able to park in most multi-story car parks, supermarket car parks, and underground car parks at hotels and the like.

    what van

We bought a new Vito 112 for work with all the bells and whistles. Earlier this year the engine siezed on the way back from France, at only 70,000 miles!! A new one fitted cost us £6500. As well as that we have problems with the selector in the gearbox, crank sensor on the flywheel (new flywheel), air suspension compressor replaced 3 times, flywheel "fell off" destroying the clutch, (on top of a mountain in Italy, not nice), UJ's need replacing, drumming rear axle, and a whole list of rattles and squeeks. All this despite regular servicing. Next year hopefully we will be getting a new van. A VW Transporter............can't wait. Chris

  23. I think it's worth noting that Colin flys a "flat bottom" paramotor these days, due to his unique style of landing. LOL Sorry Colin, couldn't resist that one!! Chris.
