  1. can,t get he revs any higher that 1060 on the L screw 1/8 either way and it,s game over.so topped it up with the throttle stop screw and it ticks over and revs to 6600.so i held it for two mins and went for engine chop to cheke the plug and it wouldn,t switch off so backed right of the throttle and it wouldn,t go no lower that 3000.and that,s where the f=0/.;]er stayed till it ran out of juice.but it will switch off when it ticks over.question with the butterfly closed where dose it get the juice from and is the kill switch a seperate issue.10.6 hours of ground run to date.3 hours airtime willing to try anything now

Here we go.the tillotson carb fitted to the 210 solo engine with the external pulse pipe coming from the cylinder to the carb is a HR-181B carb.the carb i have fitted by mistake is a HR-181A carb the difference being the pulse is delivered via machining holes in the inlet manifold between the cylinder and the carb and uses the internal pulse.QUESTION would there be any advantage to fitting the section of carb of wich i have with the external pulse.and would i have to isolate the internal pulse.the reason for asking is the pulse pipe is put there for a reason on the solo .and it,s agravity fed engine,and i got a few starting issues,but wen going it runs ok

Traveling down through anglsea this morning spotted a guy takeing off just south of Llanerchymedd and headed off twards Trearddur bay .i would like to thank him for parting my hair as i forgot my hair brush.I was the guy in the white van alongside the road waveing like a lunatick.conditions when i got back to Nantwich cheshire at around for o clock was flat calm.the smile on your face said it all.would be nice to catch up for a chat,better than catching mackrell

Thank,s simon.It sorts the toutchy ones out didn,t realise everyone had to go through membury to get to know each other ,no offence ment they were to lads squeezing a early flight in ,they were james and carl from mkt drayton flying a revo and GTR ,they flew from mkt drayton to stone staffs and back,well done guys hope to catch up with you soon

    Might be worth making enquiries at enstone airfield it,s not that far ,there is sure to be someone up there in the no .I was in the Enstone eagles club for ten years and they were a friendly bunch,never no they might let you start one .a friend of mine who lives in charlbury tells me they are allway,s over his house.Best i can do :coptor:

  6. Don,t no what she is seeing in you ENZO but you seem to have ticked all the right boxes so far,she has even gone on a diet and lost 4 LBS in a week ,she is now done to 38 stone never thought the PMC could bring two people together .once again thank,s for your help :lol::lol::acro:

Guy,s i am in total denial about any crank case leaks and you will probably get the impresion i am making excuses why i shouldn,t take it apart ,although you make a good point.So how do people get around this problem thoses that have fitted mikuni ,bing E.C.T .the level of vibration is not right by any means although mountings are good ,and as for air leak around the carb the nitral adapter is new and bolts are tight ,here we go again,anyone no where there is a walbro carb and adapter going

  10. dose anyone no why the RPM increses after it,s tickover has been set .in this case it,s on a mikuni vm 26 slide type carb .after about 20 seconds the RPM goes from 1500 to well into midrange around 2800 rpm then slowley dies back to around 1000 rpm then after about twenty seconds eventualy dies .it never returns back to tickover.this is what i have tried .lowering needle 1 notch .lowering float level .and the usual trial and error approach .i seem to think that with the long fuel track and the and the rubber adapter and the fact that it shakes like a flipping bitch it could be the cause,heads together boy,s please.can,t do alot at the moment until the plastercast comes off my toes :(:(:!::acro:

  11. Iwould start by saying a little wasted fuel is a small price to pay for such an enjoyable sport .and surley you don,t need telling not to run

    out of fuel .because you then become a glider .So you have one liter left in your tank ,give us some a idea wot you would do,i would empty it out then add it a bit at a time to fresh fuel ,or stick it in your car ,not deisel .fuel dosn,t go off over night .there are addatives you can use to help keep fuel .personaly if in doubt chuck it :?

  12. Progress report to date .I have now fitted the mikuni 26 slide type carb to the 210 solo engine.

    and it is crisp and sharp from tickover right through to full revs registered at 6,720 usig castrol power 1 2T

    fully synthetic racing oil .the carb has a 170 main jet and the plug colour looks good .i have yet to try it with airfilter this might richen it up,but still got needle to play with .i am using the squar box type exaust .not tuned.happy tinkering
