A visiting pilot at our field had an iPad as a gps using memory map, he had it in a leather type case with a neck strap. Looked like a good solution for gps, good battery too.

I Got a "military case" for my iPhone so I could use it as a gps they do the same case for the iPad

That case looks really good !

Not to sure about the neck strap tho TBH but im sure i could think of a better way of securing it.

I've tried using GPS MotionX on my Iphone but the screens is too small and awkward to use.

I've been flying for 7 months now and was looking in to getting a GPS after looking at various models and companies i think they all look too small.

The Ipad is not a lot bigger than the front container and if secured right i think it would be excellent.

Does anyone have any thoughts ?

I actually dropped in to Parajet for a prop, they never had any spare so actually took one off a new machine for me.

Thanks Mike , yes i think keeping it in the middle or to the rear i a good idea.

I believe Morgy tested one a week or so ago so im sure when he see's this he might reply.

Off subject (sorry) but how did you get on with the GoPro line mount Morgy ?

Someone has mentioned you tried one out.

I have one and use it for kite surfing I'll put it in the a's and see if I can make a small vid. I also got the bar mount (I think it's for bikes) but have not had time to try.

Having a look though Sussex Paramotor site and came across the GoPro line mount.

I WANT ONE ! (And a V5E)

Has anyone ever seen this set up or used it ?

I've had a quick look on You Tube mainly kite surfers use them.

Any feed back appreciated.

I have a Gin Windy suit and its excellent.

Practical warm and looks the business.

I have a Gin airflex 28it flies lovely under power.

Hi steve we are not a club as such,we all just fly from worcester when we can,come along when any of us are out,by all means join in with the flying when you get your kit and training done,just keep looking on here to see when someone is out,do you free fly malvern.selsly/froster. scaresfeild etc,there is a club at haresfeild near you tony do you know him.....
