  4. Well what can i say since 11-12-09 i have had 9 flights totaling 11 Hrs , one of them was for 2 hrs and my heated gloves went dead after 40 mins and the return leg was a battle to conserve body heat ie visor down , flight deck lid up sat scrunged up in my seat shivering ,covering 45 miles . I set of with 12 ltrs and landed with 3ltrs ,winter flying is great if you can handle the cold
  5. hi Alan did you buy a gopro to go with your new gin gloves hot hot hot
  6. Great soundtrack very suited to the video footage cool regards mark
  7. Hi Steve after 85 hrs of use have you thought about the fuel filter inside the tank ( It may clog up and the vacuum it causes may find a week point in your fuel line and draw air in causing your engine to run lean and cut out through fuel starvation) hope this helps Mark
  8. Its looking good good mate Paul's coming over from Leeds as well and i will be able to try out the heated gloves i can hear the jealousy hee hee. and then there was three as for the heated gloves ill just have to sit on my hands

  10. yes this is a forum not a funn room (or is that to blunt ) Happy flying or not (as the weather is not playing ball for us )
  11. Well I suppose she could have her mouth otherwise "occupied" but you can't beat a screamer or so I am told. I liken a girl to a carpet, lay it right the first time and you can walk all over it for years, I hope my wife does not read my posts. And if any ladies read these comments I am only joking. (my wife is glaring at me now so I am off). I liken a girl to my new Fusion wing , easy to pull up and you can ride her for ages LOL
  12. a nice steady wind 4 mph SSW for 12 months with no rain and an average temp of 18 degrees so its not to hot to take of and pleasant to fly in at a 1000 ft ( I wish) And for all PPG Pilots to have the time of their life in the air and fly safe
  13. Oi, thats my cousin you talking about, she's a lovely girl, not her fault she's a ginger minger, its her dads.... WHAT her Dads got a ginger minge?????? Is that a new model of paramotor (got any pictures)
  14. HI Fanman when i first started flying i would fill up with 5 ltrs and fly for 25 minutes knowing i had 1 and 1/2 hrs flight time, as i have got to know my equipment better i now fill up with 9 ltrs of fuel and land with 1 to 2 ltrs left in the tank depending on how much i clime up and down we all have a comfort zone which we try to fly in and the the more you fly the more you have the confidence to control the situation you find your self in Happy flying Mark
  15. Yes it has come so there will be some of this and this and this just as soon as this weather breaks LOL
  16. A nice video it looks like it was moving at some speed on landing (don't facy that my self but would love a co pilots seat for an hour) also noticed the Garmin 60 CSX used for navigation (cool) I've got one but where I fly It's so flat you can't get lost
  17. That's one big smiley for all the fly ins this coming week end all have fun now Mark
  18. wow i go away for the weekend and all sorts happen a light aircraft lands out two fields from where I'm staying and takes of an hour later and then this, communication between the two halves of the country i look forward to a happy merge of the both to conquer this imaginary divide the only thing that separates me from the south is the humber bridge and iv flown over that Mark
  19. Hi Skiesnpies this is my first flight with a Apco Thrust HP medium and an A X B Hawk ,the clime rate was good for me i weighed 10.5 stone at the time now i weigh 12 stone ( lots of pies for me LOL) and have a Macro with the same wing and my climb rate is about 350 ft -400 ft (approx) on 3/4 throttle) and I have never used full throttle. Here's a vid with the Macro as you can hear from the engine I back the throttle of as I take of as I don't need all that power ,but you may need to go up a size for your weight (check it out before you buy) or try before you buy Regards Mark
  20. hi simon please put me down for this session to fix carbon props I think it will be useful as i have had my pusle prop hit my macro on take off ( when in the the air ) to much power LOL you don't have to use it all (it just nicked the tank protectors) mark
  21. Look on the bright side Mark I have saved a fortune on props he he and my knee's getting better i have took the kicking strap trip hazard off and also put the harness on i bought off Trevor. I hope the harness you have bought doesn't have an attraction to HANGERS on (no malice intended) Mark
  22. I wish this weather would break I only manage to fly at weekends and this month I have only managed 2hrs On the 4th I got 1hr in and had to avoid a rain cloud on the way back to T/O site, and on the 25th I had my 3rd flight with the Winterton paramotors(Terry & Glyn) and flue over a steam traction rally which was nice to see something going on bellow ( have a look on You Tube at Winterton Paramotors 5 & 6 for my previous flights with them ) I wish this weather would break mark
